He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction has been formally confirmed for release on February 4, 2027. This move marks the third official release window for Dragon Pearl of Destruction, which has so far suffered from two delays.

Created by Bitmap Bureau, the British developer behind Terminator 2D: No Fate, Dragon Pearl of Destruction is a retro 2D beat-’em-up inspired by the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series from the 1980s. It promises nostalgic pixel art visuals, multiple playable Eternian heroes, and support for both solo and two-player couch co-op.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction Locks Down Another Release Date

Confirmed Alongside a New $100 Edition of the Game

On October 12, the retro beat-’em-up received a new release date of February 4, 2027. The date replaces the broader “early 2027” window announced in August, which itself followed a delay revealed after it became clear that He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction would miss its late April 2026 release date just two weeks before the deadline.

The $99.99 package leans heavily into Masters of the Universe‘s 1980s roots. In addition to everything from the Standard Edition, it includes lunchbox-style packaging, a steelcase, epoxy character pins based on the game’s sprites, a miniature replica of He-Man’s Power Sword with a stand, and an acrylic display of He-Man riding Battle Cat. A 12-page mini comic produced by Dark Horse Comics is also part of the package. Physical pre-orders are scheduled to close on November 22, while the first 2,250 Collector’s Edition orders are eligible to receive a 5.5-inch Masters of the Universe Origins He-Man figure while supplies last.

The game itself features He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and Teela as playable characters, each with their own attacks and abilities. Battle Cat also appears as a rideable companion, while Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, Shokoti, and the Shadow Beasts are among the enemies confirmed to feature throughout the campaign. That campaign is now being advertised as containing 13 stages, including the Royal Palace, Vine Jungle, and Snake Mountain. Earlier promotional material listed only 12 stages, suggesting that at least one additional level was added during development.
