Halo: Campaign Evolved players have a limited time to claim a few codes (and perform a simple task) to get up to 4 new freebies for the recently released remake of the campaign. Halo: Campaign Evolved marks the franchise’s first appearance on PS5, so aside from Nintendo Switch handhelds, it can be played pretty much on all major hardware. And it’s complete with new missions, improved pacing, and so much more.
Indeed, Halo: Campaign Evolved appears to be a solid remake (even if it’s just the single-player portion). It currently sits at a 76 Metascore on PC (22 critic reviews), an 81 on PS5 (47 critic reviews), and an 84 on Xbox (34 critic reviews). Overall, Halo: Campaign Evolved‘s review scores are respectable, if indicative of a completely different environment from the first game.

It’s noteworthy then that the addition of skins to Halo: Campaign Evolved is one of the most ‘controversial’ decisions in the game, but it doesn’t appear to be accompanied by overly aggressive monetization. For example, there are three codes right now that can be redeemed on Waypoint for new Halo skins, while another requires players to complete a task that only takes a few minutes. For anyone wanting to spruce up Master Chief in Halo: Campaign Evolved, these are a nice way to do that (even if they are not as nice as the Deluxe edition skin).

The most complex skin to claim, with complex still being an overstatement, is the Hidden Blade Skin for Halo: Campaign Evolved. It’s simple enough, though, as players simply need to log into Discord, watch the Halo: Campaign Evolved trailer on the Quests page, and then use the unique code they are given to redeem it via Halo Waypoint. It’s that simple and should only take a few minutes, but if someone can’t be bothered (which is fair enough), then the other three skins are even easier to get.
Overall, it’s a solid selection of freebies for Halo: Campaign Evolved, and fans can probably expect more in the near/far future. It’s also likely that these rotate out before long, so fans should be sure to claim these new Halo skins while they can. Then they can get right back into the fight across Halo: Campaign Evolved‘s new and returning missions.
It’s also worth noting that, while playing Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 is a bit of a moment and PC is great for obvious reasons, Halo: Campaign Evolved is also available via Xbox Game Pass. In other words, it’s possible to get the game at no additional cost for those who’d prefer to play it on Xbox.
