Capcom Spotlight and TGS 2026 Game Lineup Revealed

Ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom gives fans an update on its plans for the show as well as a special Spotlight livestream to dive into the latest news from some of its games. All eyes continue to be on Capcom and its release schedule, as the company has been on an absolute tear as of late, producing hit after hit. With TGS right around the corner, fans are curious to know what is next for the company.

It’s been a highly successful couple of years for Capcom, with the company producing massive hits like Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and even Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection proving to be a big success. Alongside a slate of other games, Street Fighter 6 continues to thrive as well, with a new year of DLC fighters like Yasmine having just begun in August. With Onimusha: Way of the Sword the next big game to launch for Capcom in just a matter of days, the company is now laying out its plans for September’s Tokyo Game Show event.

Capcom President Shares Why the Company Is Doing So Well

Capcom President and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto reveals the mindset behind the Osaka-based company’s recent successes in the gaming industry.

Similar to the past few years, Capcom announced its plans for TGS 2026, while also confirming a special 40-minute Spotlight presentation ahead of time. The showcase is planned to run on September 16 (7am PT/3pm BST) and promises to bring fans the latest details on Capcom titles, including the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds expansion. Unfortunately, details on which specific games could appear weren’t provided, but as Capcom also announced its Tokyo Game Show plans as well, fans could now have a decent idea of what the company could be planning to show off.

Alongside the Capcom Spotlight showcase, the company is planning to have six games on exhibition at Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 17 through 21. The lineup of games includes:

  • Pragmata
  • Mega Man: Dual Override
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
  • Onimusha: Way of the Sword
  • Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance
  • Street Fighter 6

With Onimusha pushing to become the next big Capcom hit, having it on the show floor for people to try makes a lot of sense. Outside of that, Capcom will have 3 other games that fans can seemingly go hands on with early. Mega Man Dual Override has a 2027 launch window, though with Proto Man now confirmed as a second protagonist, perhaps Capcom will be willing to reveal more at TGS.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds will have their big expansions on hand as well. After a rocky start for both games, Capcom is hoping that both Dark Arisen and Ascendance can turn things around for both games. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is set for an October launch, while Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance is set for release sometime in 2027.

Pragmata‘s inclusion on the list is an interesting one considering it originally launched all the way back in April and seemed to be pretty content complete. However, Pragmata quickly became a massive success for Capcom, so perhaps the company has some news to share about some post-launch DLC, like some new challenge rooms or something along those lines, in addition to the recently revealed Mega Man-inspired outfits for Hugh and Diana.

While it may be the oldest game on the list, Street Fighter 6 continues to be a massive success for Capcom as it enters its fourth year of post-launch support. Although the biggest name in Year 4 is Final Fantasy‘s Tifa joining Street Fighter 6, fans have seemingly been very pleased with the addition of Yasmine, a brand-new fighter from the Philippines who uses a karambit in combat. It stands to reason that Capcom will be showing off the second planned fighter at TGS, likely showcasing a new trailer for the mysterious Arjun.
