Call of Duty is set to deliver a new batch of content with Season 3 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone. Season 3 includes a new battle pass, more multiplayer content, and map changes for Warzone’s Avalon. The season will likely include a new Zombies map as well. Here we’ll highlight all the announcements and rumors for Call of Duty Season 3 so far.
Call of Duty Season 3 start times
Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone arrives on April 2. Call of Duty updates usually go live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms.
What to expect from Season 3
A new season of Call of Duty means a new battle pass packed with cosmetics, more DLC weapons to unlock, new maps, and additional game modes. A season generally includes limited-time events, and while the specifics aren’t confirmed yet, Call of Duty typically has events this time of year that are themed around the upcoming Easter holiday.
Each Call of Duty season also brings a new season of Ranked Play and rewards for both multiplayer and Warzone.
Season 3’s promo art reveals a new operator called “Javelin,” who appears to be holding the M27 assault rifle from Black Ops 2. The key art for Call of Duty seasons usually tease operators and weapons found in the upcoming battle pass.

Black Ops 7 multiplayer
We don’t have specific details revealed for Season 3 of multiplayer yet. The Season 3 update will likely include more multiplayer maps, game modes, and new challenges.
Zombies
A new Zombies map is likely, as Treyarch confirmed there are still three new maps to release, but it won’t arrive at launch. The developer revealed that all future Zombies maps will be released with the midseason “Reloaded” updates.
Season 3 will add Black Ops 6 legacy weapons to Zombies. The latest episode of Call of Duty’s official “CoD Pod” podcast teased that a handful fan-favorite weapons will arrive in Zombies in a “pretty unique way.” This likely means the guns won’t be available to use in custom loadouts, but instead will be earnable from new challenges or other in-game actions.
Endgame
Treyarch confirmed that new content is planned for the campaign’s Endgame mode for Season 3. The specific details haven’t been revealed, but recent updates have added new boss fights, public events, and more operator skills.
Warzone
Season 3 of Warzone is confirmed to bring physical changes to the Avalon map for battle royale. More water will be drained around various islands to add more sandbars and walkable pathways. Additional ziplines and boats will also be added. Activision revealed the Warzone map’s comparisons between the Season 2 Reloaded version and the upcoming Season 3 update.
The latest “CoD Pod” episode also confirmed Season 3 would introduce map rotation for Ranked Play Resurgence. Players will be able to compete on both Haven’s Hollow and Rebirth Island.
