The Dungeon is a room connected to the Haunted Hilltop in Crow Country, and it is home to a puzzle with several solutions. While it is not mandatory that players arrive at all the possible solutions, they will need to find one if they hope to continue progressing through the game. This guide is here to assist with that endeavor, and full details on how to solve the Dungeon puzzle in Crow Country can be found below.
Players must obtain the Data Disk before they can solve the Dungeon puzzle. While this guide will not cover the acquisition of that item in detail, in an attempt to minimize spoilers, fans of
indie horror games
who have yet to find the Data Disk are advised to turn their attention to the Games Arcade that is connected to Ocean Kingdom.

Crow Country: How to Solve the Dungeon Puzzle
The goal when addressing the Dungeon puzzle is to use the room’s computer to open the mermaid cage. That is done by interacting with the computer and repeatedly “clicking” on Legs, Arms, Heads, and Eyes until the associated numbers are aligned with a mermaid’s features. For full clarity, that means setting Legs to 0, Arms to 2, Heads to 1, and Eyes to 2, and Crow Country players should enter the mermaid’s cell and collect the green Acid Bottle from the suspended shelf once they have made those adjustments.
While players can consider the Dungeon puzzle solved, and are free to leave the area, as soon as the Acid Bottle has been collected, there is actually more that can be done in this room. Specifically, the other three cells can be opened by making the numbers on the computer match the features of their inhabitants. To make that process as easy as possible, here are the numbers that will cause each cell to open, and fans of survival horror games can find some useful items within each of them:
- Wolf: Legs: 4 | Arms: 0 | Heads: 1 | Eyes: 2
- Cyclops: Legs: 2 | Arms: 2 | Heads: 1 | Eyes: 1
- Serpent: Legs: 0 | Arms: 0 | Heads: 1 | Eyes: 2
To note, the Dungeon puzzle is not the only one that requires the use of an in-game computer, and players will need to dust off their Data Disks again if they hope to solve the Train Room puzzle in Crow Country. That puzzle is entirely optional, though, and fans can absolutely complete the game without ever addressing it.
