Cyberpunk 2077 Fourth Lifepath Gets an Update

A Cyberpunk 2077 mod titled New Lifepath Intro – Fresh Start has just received a major update. Although the upcoming Witcher 4 is currently generating the most buzz among CD Projekt Red’s projects, the dystopian action role-playing game released six years ago continues to resurface in the gaming community’s consciousness. Despite facing significant criticism for the numerous bugs and glitches present immediately after its launch, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to win over players through a series of fixes and updates, which were accompanied by the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion and the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The game’s gradually improving reviews have led to over 35 million copies sold worldwide and the announcement of a sequel, which is said to be currently in development.

The game has not only received official DLC and subsequent updates, but also numerous fan-made projects that expand its content in various directions. Over the years, many mods for Cyberpunk 2077 have been released, introducing features such as new areas to explore, new vehicles, and enhancements to the neon lighting in Night City. Whether player-driven projects introduce changes that significantly impact gameplay and the story, or focus on cosmetic aspects related to graphics or the overall atmosphere, their constant emergence encourages fans to return to the game and try out the proposed modifications. This interest is particularly important for keeping players engaged ahead of future projects that expand the IP in ways the community might not expect.

New Cyberpunk 2077 Release is Something Completely Unexpected

Developer CD Projekt Red shares a trailer for a new Cyberpunk 2077 game coming soon, but it might not be what players were expecting.

Recently, Cyberpunk 2077 fans have been given the chance to experience a story they already know in a completely new way. This was made possible by the latest update to the popular New Lifepath Intro – Fresh Start mod, which was shared on the Nexus Mods website by a creator going by the username Deceptious. With the latest update to the mod, Cyberpunk 2077 fans can now choose a new lifepath for V, in which she is both an ex-corp and an ex-nomad, giving them access to both dialogue options available in the game. Choosing a new path also triggers a brand-new introduction scene in which characters from the original game pick up V at the Orbital Air Terminal, leading to the start of a new opening montage right at the beginning of the game.

In addition to the option to choose a completely new lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077, players are also offered customized new save game data, so that save slots for a fresh start as a Nomad/Corpo are displayed accordingly. The new update also includes quality-of-life updates, such as a looting fix that allows players to loot corpses inside cars. In addition, checkpoints have been updated for Delamain compatibility, and the intro has been patched to prevent crashes at specific points, an issue that players had previously reported. However, as the creator himself noted in the description, the mod is very complex, so they cannot rule out the possibility of issues such as bugs still arising, therefore asking the community to report any problems immediately.

Game add-ons and enhancements, such as those introduced by the New Lifepath Intro – Fresh Start mod, are part of the ongoing refinement of CD Projekt Red’s famous title. Even six years after its global debut, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to receive updates that take advantage of new technological capabilities that have become available in the meantime. Although the developers have officially announced that, aside from the announced sequel, they have no plans to release any new DLC or expansions for the game in the near future, players still have the opportunity to discover new content and bring their creative ideas to life through mods. It remains to be seen how fans of this game will react to the possibility of developing a completely new life path, although the initial feedback on the update reflects their positive attitude toward the proposed combination and hopes for the creation of new, previously unavailable combinations.
