CD Projekt RED revealed the full patch notes for Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077, a major patch that is adding a lot of new content and features for fans to check out. Following a disastrous launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has largely been reborn over the past few years, achieving immense popularity with players among the strong support that CD Projekt RED has continued to show the game over the past 6 years.
Despite CD Projekt RED confirming it ended development on Cyberpunk 2077 back in 2024, the studio has continued to support the title through new updates. Although they’ve come few and far between, each has typically added plenty of new content for fans to dig into, extending their stay just a bit longer in Night City. Update 2.2 added new car customization options, while 2.3 made changes to Photo Mode while also introducing AutoDrive. Interestingly enough, CDPR skipped over 2.4 entirely, choosing to move to a much bigger Update 2.5 release instead.
To coincide with the launch of Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 on Netflix, CD Projekt RED is releasing a hefty new update for Cyberpunk 2077. For many, the biggest piece of this update is special Edgerunners 2 crossover content, which adds a new side quest called Clampdown which is set before the events of the anime. Players will also be able to unlock a new 5-piece gear set based on the character King, and there’s a new radio station called HKGN 102.0 FM, which adds a number of tracks from the entire Cyberpunk Edgerunners series.
Outside of that, the update adds 5 new clothing sets can be purchased, along with more hairstyles for V, and a way to dual wield pistols and revolvers through the Double Trouble perk from the Cool skill tree. Players can also now customize their hand cyberware by visiting one of 5 Glamdocs in Cyberpunk 2077. This includes various cyberware skins and colors that can be equipped, with the trailer showing off a number of the new options and branding.

Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.
However, that’s not all. CDPR added another side quest that will let players uncover a mystery and explore Night City on a guided tour narrated by the founder, Richard Night. Players will also be able to discover 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot Cards, with the menu now separating Major and Minor arcana to help players keep better track. CDPR even teases a special reward for finding all 12 of the new arcana.
While past updates have been known to break mods in Cyberpunk 2077, Update 2.5 adds Cross-Platform Mod Support, which is powered by mod.io. CDPR calls this a “first step” into cross-platform modding, allowing players to browse and install a selection of player-created mods from the in-game menu. More mods are planned to be added over time and will be available on all platforms.
FInally, Update 2.5 continues fixing bugs and addressing other issues, while also adding more quality of life improvements. Specifically, DLSS 4.5 is now supported alongside MetalFX Frame Interpolation. Console players can now adjust their FOV, apartment and vehicle stashes come with item filters, and saves in the Load Game menu are now grouped by separate playthroughs. Players will also likely notice that there are more AMD FSR options to pick from, with FSR 3 upscaling being removed outright.
