Death Stranding 2’s Special PC Graphics Options
- UPSCALING AND FRAME GENERATION: Support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XESS 2 means players can choose from all major current upscaling and frame generation technologies. These tools can significantly boost framerates on supported GPUs while preserving image fidelity.
- PICO UPSCALING: For the first time in a PC game, Death Stranding 2 introduces Pico (Progressive Image Compositor)—an upscaling method developed by Guerrilla Games for the Decima engine. Pico can be combined with frame generation and will be available alongside traditional upscaling options.
- DYNAMIC RESOLUTION AND AA: Dynamic Resolution Scaling and various native antialiasing options give players more control over how performance and visuals balance on their systems.
Death Stranding 2 PC players will also benefit from some enhanced display features. The game supports ultrawide aspect ratios, with 21:9 available for all cutscenes and 32:9 supported during gameplay to fill super-wide monitors. Interestingly, Death Stranding 2 will also let players on 16:9 displays enable widescreen aspect ratios through the in-game settings, expanding the view without requiring special hardware.
In addition to performance and visual upgrades, the PC version of Death Stranding 2 will grant certain players some valuable cosmetic rewards. Players who connect their PlayStation accounts will receive PlayStation-logo-inspired Porter wear, including the Porter Suit: Link and Patch: Link—previously announced items that are now available as a launch bonus.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PC officially launches on March 19, 2026, and is now available for preorder on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The port arrives less than a year after the game’s PS5 debut, now with outstretched arms toward the PC gaming audience. With a mix of flexible performance targets, modern upscaling technologies, wide display support, and visuals that were already gorgeous on the PS5, the PC edition of Death Stranding 2 already looks like one of this year’s standout PC ports.
