The official Destiny 2 account on Twitter confirmed that one armor set is being disabled due to major issues, and it won’t be re-enabled ever again. Destiny 2‘s unceremonious death has been discussed aplenty by content creators, fans, and even other developer studios, as the game was for a long time the epitome of live-service done right. Between poor upper management decisions and the main story coming to a close with The Final Shape, Edge of Fate and Renegades failed to pull in enough players to sustain the game long-term.
Say Goodbye to This Armor Set in Destiny 2
Due to an issue where players could spawn infinite Special ammo in the Crucible, Destiny 2 is disabling an armor set bonus to prevent further problems. This is the 4-piece bonus from the Cyberserpent Null set obtained in Gambit, and it will no longer work in all Crucible playlists, including Iron Banner, which just returned this week. The set provides Adrenal Rush with its 2-piece bonus, giving players weapon reload speed and handling after sprinting. Instead, the set bonus that is being disabled is Bountiful Munitions, which grants progress towards Special ammo with final blows while Adrenal Rush is active. The set will still work in PVE, though, as stated in the post.
