Bungie shared an official update on Destiny 2, the process of unvaulting its content, and future updates, stating that the Menagerie will come back. It has been a wild ride in the last year for Bungie’s iconic looter-shooter, with Renegades not bringing back as many players as it needed, a few delays and communication hiccups, and then the announcement that the game would end all live-service support in June after a final update. Monument of Triumph was a major release for Destiny 2, and now Bungie is resurrecting the game.
Bungie Shares Official Timeline For Destiny 2 Updates, Confirms Menagerie’s Return
Bungie’s Josh Deane shared a heartfelt post and update on the current state of Destiny 2 plans, including a timeline of what is going to happen and going over the content that is being brought back. The first batch of content unvaulting in Destiny 2 will include old campaigns (Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken), Strikes, Raid Lairs, and full Raids from the aforementioned releases, and the Menagerie activity with reprised rewards. Currently, Bungie’s plans are in pre-production, according to the new official timeline, and production will begin in February 2027. The release date is yet to be disclosed, but Bungie promises that fans won’t be empty-handed for long. In fact, a new official Destiny 2 update like Monument of Triumph is coming in February 2027, as hinted at by the new Bungie Community Update post.
