Diablo 4 Season 11 Revealed

Diablo 4 Season 11 Revealed

Blizzard has announced Diablo 4 Season 11, known as the Season of Divine Intervention, is bringing a massive set of changes to overhaul the core gameplay loop. Not only can players expect a new batch of seasonal challenges and features, but permanent mechanical changes and gameplay additions are included in this update as well. Diablo 4 players will have a lot to dive into when Season 11 starts, including a new World Boss, invading Lesser Evils, and the Divine Gifts seasonal powers.

Following a widely popular Season 10, some Diablo 4 fans may be disappointed to see game-changing features like Chaos Perks and Chaos Armor go as the Season of Infernal Chaos transitions to the Season of Divine Intervention. Blizzard is constantly innovating with seasonal mechanics for Diablo 4, and the new features in Season 11 have the potential to be just as revolutionary for the game 2 years after its launch. Diablo 4 fans won’t have to wait long to try these features out for themselves, as the Season of Divine Intervention is right around the corner.

Diablo 4 Season 11 Launches on December 11

In a blog post preceding Diablo 4 Season 11’s Developer Update Livestream on December 3, Blizzard revealed the details of the upcoming Season of Divine Intervention. This announcement includes a gameplay trailer alongside a roadmap of what players can expect from Season 11. While the headlining features of Diablo 4 Season 11 are the permanent changes to Tempering and Masterworking, players can expect a wide range of seasonal activities as well.

Lesser Evils will be invading Sanctuary in Diablo 4 Season 11, including the new World Boss Azmodan. Players will team up with the angel Hadriel to fight back against these invading demons, and the High Heavens are granting players new powers to aid them in this effort. Divine Gifts are the new seasonal power that come in the form of both Corrupted and Purified Gifts, and the new Sanctification mechanic lets players add a new layer of power to their equipment.

Permanent Changes Coming in Diablo 4 Season 11

While Tempering and Masterworking won’t add the same level of randomness to gear upgrading as in seasons past, players will need to ensure their gear is as optimized as it can be with the improvements made to monster difficulty in Diablo 4 Season 11. Now, enemies will be far more deadly, with more powerful affixes and smarter behavior, such as less grouping among packs of monsters. Players will also have to pay attention to a new Diablo 4 defensive stat, Toughness, which denotes the player’s overall defensive capabilities.

Coming later in Diablo 4 update 2.5.2 in early 2026 is the Tower and Leaderboards, a new way for players to test their competitive prowess. Following their removal in Season 6, this new Leaderboard system is making a permanent return in Season 11, and will allow players to show off their skills and build by completing the timed Tower dungeon as fast as possible for a chance to have their name displayed on the Leaderboard.

Six new Uniques are also joining the game’s gear line-up, one for each of Diablo 4‘s classes. These Uniques include:

  • Barbarian — Chainscourged Mail (Unique Pants)
  • Druid — Khamsin Steppewalkers (Unique Boots)
  • Rogue — Death’s Pavane (Unique Pants)
  • Necromancer — Gravebloom (Unique One-handed Mace)
  • Sorcerer — Orsivane (Unique One-handed Mace)
  • Spiritborn — Path of the Emissary (Unique Boots)

Curiously, Diablo 4 Season 11 is slated to start on Thursday, December 11 at 8:30pm PST rather than on a Tuesday at 10am PST as most past seasons have. This time lines up with The Game Awards 2025’s airing, which fans already speculate could be the venue for announcing Diablo 4 Expansion 2. As such, fans may want to tune into The Game Awards for any potential Diablo 4 updates before jumping into Season 11 when it goes live.
