Diablo 4 Season 11 Update Made Change You Probably Missed in the Patch Notes

Diablo 4 Season 11 Update Made Change You Probably Missed in the Patch Notes

Diablo 4 has confirmed that Healing Potions will undergo a major rework in Season 11, making them a little more convenient. The changes were hidden among the Season 11 patch notes for Diablo 4, making them easy to miss among all the latest content. And while all these Healing Potion updates are welcomed for this season, there’s one quality-of-life change in particular that should prove to be particularly useful.

Diablo 4 Season 11 was fully revealed a few days ago, showing what players can expect when it launches on December 11. The Season of Divine Intervention has a lot to live up to after the massively popular Season 10, and this time, it’s bringing some interesting reworks to core features as well as the usual seasonal mechanics to freshen up the experience. The headline Diablo 4 changes come to Tempering and Masterworking, with both reworked to remove the current RNG levels involved. However, it’s the seasonal mechanics that players are coming back to the game for in Season 11. Divine Gifts and Sanctification are the main seasonal features this time around, and it remains to be seen if it can top the very popular Chaos Armor from Season 10.

Diablo 4 is Going to Look Very Different For Some Players Soon

Diablo 4 is making some significant visual changes to the game for a select group of players, promising a very different look for Sanctuary.

Diablo 4’s Healing Potions Will Automatically Recharge in Season 11

In the Diablo 4 2.5.0 patch notes, there have been some easily-missed reworks to Healing Potions that should be great for quality of life. The main change is that Healing Potion charges now automatically recharge every 30 seconds, rather than being tied to enemy kills or damage phases during boss fights. This makes slower builds more viable, as they can still recharge their health during long fights, even if they’re taking their time to kill enemies. Previously, players using slower builds could be left stranded if they weren’t able to finish their enemies before their potions ran out. This was particularly problematic during difficult boss fights. Now, though, as long as players keep themselves alive, they’ll be in with a shot of winning the battle, no matter their build. This isn’t exactly an issue for players using meta builds to melt bosses as quickly as possible, but it definitely helps make more builds viable in the Diablo 4 endgame in Season 11.

On top of this, Diablo 4 Healing Potions no longer need to be upgraded in Season 11, and players start with a base cap of four. They no longer provide healing over time, either. Blizzard has chosen to swap this out for an instant 35% heal of max Life instead. It’s not clear how much exactly these changes will affect the Diablo 4 gameplay loop, but it’s certainly an interesting experiment for Season 11.

As part of the changes to healing in Diablo 4 Season 11, Blizzard has also updated gear healing stats in a few ways. Life Per Hit can be found in the base affix pool once more, while Life Regen and Life on Kill will both enjoy increased effectiveness from Season 11. The same is true of the Healing% stat, showing that Blizzard is evidently looking at interesting ways to shake up healing this coming season.

Although these healing changes should prove to be good news for players in the long run, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing for Diablo 4 Season 11 so far. It was recently confirmed that The Tower and leaderboards have been delayed until mid-season, when they were previously touted as significant additions for the Season of Divine Intervention. Players only have a few days to wait until they find out if Blizzard hit the mark with Diablo 4 Season 11, and they can expect further iterations in the coming weeks based on all upcoming player feedback.
