As Diablo 4 Season 13 approaches its conclusion, it’s increasingly clear that the Rogue is its best class. Season 13 of Diablo 4 is set to end on June 30, 2026, marking the end of Lord of Hatred‘s first season. And while it may have introduced a brand-new class in the Warlock, it is the Rogue that has dominated the unofficial Pit rankings throughout the season.
Every Diablo 4 season receives important balance changes to help keep the meta fresh for returning players. Without these, even new seasonal mechanics would likely not be enough to keep players interested season upon season. This gives players an incentive to try out every Diablo 4 class, even if they already have their own established favorite from previous seasons.
Interview: Diablo Immortal Devs Detail How the Warlock and More 5.0 Content Was Brought to Life
In a recent interview with GameRant, the Diablo Immortal devs shared some insight into how the Warlock was designed for the series’ mobile title.
Diablo 4 Rogue Players Have Dominated The Pit in Season 13
Taking a look at Helltides’ unofficial Pit leaderboard for Season 13, the best run comes from a Rogue player who completed the endgame activity at Tier 150 (the highest tier) in just 1 minute and 19 seconds. Notably, every class except the Paladin has tracked runs at Tier 150, which is a massive rarity. However, it’s the Rogue that has the fastest tracked run in Season 13, making it the best class at the pinnacle of the meta. Not only is this an impressive jump for the Rogue, but it also represents a fall from grace for the Paladin, which has gone from the best class in Seasons 11 and 12 to the worst in Diablo 4 Season 13.

Because Diablo 4 Season 13 is planned to end on June 30, it’s essentially guaranteed that there will be no meta changes between now and then. As a result, the Rogue will stand as officially the best class this season. For context, the Rogue has never recorded the quickest Diablo 4 Pit run across an entire season (according to Helltides), making this a landmark moment for the class.
While it’s surprising that the Warlock has struggled as the newest class in Season 13, the Rogue’s status as the best this time around will be welcome for many players. After all, it was only last season that players were calling for the Rogue to be buffed in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, so it’s safe to say that Blizzard has listened to the feedback and delivered. It remains to be seen whether the developer feels this was an overcorrection to be fixed for Season 14, as it’s rare that a class has two consecutive seasons on top (unless it’s brand-new).
Season 13 has been one of the most popular Diablo 4 seasons in a long time. Although it did not have its own seasonal mechanic, it did come with the launch of the Lord of Hatred expansion, marking one of the game’s most substantial updates ever. Based on the recent PTR, Diablo 4 Season 14 already has players worried, so it remains to be seen whether it can live up to the standard set in previous seasons.
