The length of every Gears of War game has varied over the years, but a 14-hour-long campaign would definitely make E-Day the longest one on the list.

The current record holder for the longest Gears of War campaign is Gears 5. It runs around 10 to 12 hours when it comes to focusing on the main story, but that can be stretched out even longer when diving into the extra content. If Gears of War: E-Day‘s story alone is 14 hours long, then it’s going to be interesting to see how many more hours will be added to the play time for fans who like to complete 100% of a game’s content.
Searcy shared a few more details about Gears of War: E-Day that were just as intriguing, like some levels being more open, despite the game having a linear structure. The gameplay preview also revealed a few big changes to mechanics. Jumping and sliding are being added to the equation, which is going to bring even more dynamic movement.
