The Epic Games Store has officially revealed Clone Drone in the Danger Zone as its next freebie. This self-described “slice-em-up” with “Overwhelmingly Positive” player reviews will be available to claim on the Epic Games Store beginning April 2.
Over the seven-day period beginning March 19, Epic was giving away Electrician Simulator and a limited-time Tachibana Pack for World of Warships, valued at approximately $43 combined. That offer was replaced with another promotion earlier today, March 26, which is when the company also outlined the contents of its next giveaway.

What Is Clone Drone in the Danger Zone?
Developed by American studio Doborog Games, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is an indie action game in which players control a human consciousness uploaded into a robot gladiator and forced to survive a series of challenging arena battles. It entered Steam Early Access in March 2017 and reached version 1.0 in late July 2021, which is also when it expanded from PC to consoles, namely the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Its central mechanic is dismemberment-based combat, using a voxel damage system that allows limbs, weapons and armor to be sliced away piece by piece instead of being reduced through a conventional health bar. While Clone Drone in the Danger Zone includes a short story campaign, its main draw comes in the form of endless arena runs and multiplayer offerings, including private duels, co-op, and a battle royale mode called Last Bot Standing.
Doborog’s 2021 title did not attract significant attention from mainstream outlets, as reflected in the fact that it lacks an OpenCritic rating due to the aggregator having too few reviews on record. Nevertheless, Clone Drone In The Danger Zone appears to have been a substantial hit on PC, boasting over 17,000 “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam alone. Many of these reviews praise the game’s intuitive controls, limb damage system, and frequent updates as its top qualities.
Epic Games Store Free Games Right Now
While waiting for Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, Epic Games Store users are able to claim Havendock and Hyper Echelon, both of which became available today, March 26. Havendock is a 2025 release that’s part colony sim, part city builder, offering players a chance to run their own cozy high-tech society in the middle of an ocean. Hyper Echelon is a more old school experience informed by vertically scrolling shoot-’em-ups for retro consoles and arcades. The two titles are priced at around $33 combined, with both of them being free on the Epic Games Store for the first time ever right now.
As for the upcoming promotion, Clone Drone in the Danger will mark the first single-freebie week for the Epic Games Store since Definitely Not Fried Chicken was given away on its own between January 29 and February 5. Ever since then, Epic either gave away multiple games per week or paired one free game with a DLC pack or some other kind of add-on.
