Epic Games Store Is Giving Away a Bonus Game for Free This Week

Epic Games Store Is Giving Away a Bonus Game for Free This Week

The Epic Games Store is giving away the mobile version of Little Nightmares until March 12. Though part of the regular promo rotation, Little Nightmares can still be considered a bonus title due to how often the Epic Games Store condenses its weekly giveaways in a way that omits a dedicated mobile freebie.

Epic has been offering free smartphone and tablet games every week since launching its mobile storefront in early 2025. That said, its mobile and PC freebies often overlap, either partially or entirely. For instance, between February 26 and March 5, Epic was giving away both the PC and mobile versions of Boxes: Lost Fragments.

Epic Games Store: A Comprehensive List Of Every Free Game It’s Had To Date

Here’s a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until March 12 to get the current free games.

Epic Games Store’s Latest Mobile Freebie Is Now Available

This time around, Epic’s weekly mobile freebie is a proper bonus title: Little Nightmares. The mobile version of the 2017 puzzle platformer is available to claim until next Thursday, March 12, at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. CET. Separately, Epic is giving away the PC versions of Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and Raistlin’s Renown Pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms during the same period.

Developed by Sweden-based Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares is a critically acclaimed horror puzzle platformer first released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April 2017. It was ported to the Nintendo Switch in May 2018 and eventually made the jump to Android and iOS devices in December 2023. Every single version of Little Nightmares was praised by critics and fans alike, receiving widespread plaudits for its distinctive art style, intoxicating horror atmosphere, and compelling sound design that delivered plenty of memorable audio effects enhancing the game’s creepiness.

The original version of Little Nightmares attained a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, derived from a 71% reviewer recommendation rate and an average score of 79. Delving into the contents of the underlying reviews, the game’s scores were primarily dragged down by complaints about an inconsistent automatic checkpoint system and clunky controls that occasionally inhibited platforming. While touchscreens aren’t generally known for their precision, the mobile version of Little Nightmares offers highly customizable controls with some extra accessibility options.

Epic Games Store Free Games for March 5–12, 2026

The mobile version of Little Nightmares typically retails for $8.99 and has never been free on the Epic Games Store in the past. That puts the total value of Epic’s latest batch of freebies at over $120, though the figure is heavily inflated by Raistlin’s Renown Pack, an item bundle for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms valued at over $100. Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, a wacky roguelite about an anthropomorphic turnip who turned to a life of crime, rounds out the platform’s latest giveaway. Additionally, Epic just recently revealed Isonzo and Cozy Grove as its free games for March 12. Isonzo is an authentic WW1 multiplayer shooter, while Cozy Grove is a life sim set on a haunted yet adorable island. Cozy Grove also has a mobile version, making it likely that it will end up being the Epic Games Store’s mobile freebie for the March 12–19 period.

Anyone who enjoys the Epic Games Store’s latest freebie may also want to check out Very Little Nightmares, a mobile-only spin-off set in the same universe. Unlike the mainline games, this 2019 title plays out on a grid and covers a different scenario that reveals more of the protagonist’s story. Despite publisher Namco Bandai collaborating with Epic on this latest weekly giveaway, Very Little Nightmares is currently not available on the Epic Games Store and can only be purchased via the Google Play Store and iOS App Store, priced at $6.99.
