The Epic Games Store will offer two free titles on May 14, though the games themselves will remain undisclosed until the very last moment. The giveaway thus marks the return of the Epic Games Store’s Mystery Game promotion for the first time in over five months.
Over the week-long period beginning April 30, Epic Games Store users were able to claim Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure, a colorful factory automation game with real-time strategy elements. That promotion, which also included a $100 bundle for the idle RPG Firestone, officially ended on May 7.

Here’s a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until May 7 to get the current free games.
Epic Games Store’s Mystery Game Giveaway Returns on May 14
While a new giveaway is already live, Epic Games did not outline the contents of its promotion for the following week as it normally does. Instead, its free games page states only that the company’s Mystery Game promotion will return on May 14. Two titles will be offered on that date, with more similar offers expected to follow in the weeks ahead. This will be the first such promotion since the Epic Games Store’s 2025 holiday season giveaway, a major event that featured 17 Mystery Games between December 11 and January 1.

Every so often, Epic’s Mystery Game promotions are organized around a specific theme, as was the case in early 2025, when the company gave away an array of cat-themed titles. There is currently no indication that the May 14 event will follow a similar format. Should Epic have a thematic giveaway in mind, the first two freebies may offer the earliest clues as to what that concept might be, assuming the company does not announce it outright—something that is not guaranteed, based on past promotions.
Epic Games Store Free Games Right Now
While waiting for the May 14 mystery freebies to materialize, Epic Games Store users can claim Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure and Trash Goblin. Both are officially available as of today, May 7. Arranger is a puzzle adventure about Jemma, a small-town misfit whose movement shifts the world around her. It features a grid-based system in which rows and columns move with the player, turning traversal, combat, and exploration into sliding-tile-style puzzles. Meanwhile, Trash Goblin is a cozy shopkeeping game about uncovering, cleaning, repairing, and upcycling trinkets before selling them to customers. Its gameplay loop centers on restoring peculiar items, using the proceeds to improve the shop, and gradually expanding the player’s small business into a thriving trinket empire.

Trash Goblin and Arranger can be added to one’s Epic Games Store account until May 14 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. CET. That is also when the upcoming Mystery Game giveaway is scheduled to kick off. Similar Epic Games Store events have run for multiple weeks in the past, meaning the upcoming promotion could follow the same format, with new mystery games appearing throughout the second half of May 2026.
