Epic Games Store Officially Reveals 2 Freebies for February 19

The Epic Games Store has formally announced Return to Ash and Stalcraft: X Starter Pack as its free offerings for February 19. The duo will bring the total value of the Epic Games Store’s February 2026 freebies to $120.94.

Over the past week, Epic Games Store users have been able to claim Botany Manor and the Poison Retro Set add-on for Pixel Gun 3D, valued at just under $50 combined. That promotion officially wrapped up earlier today, February 19, and was immediately replaced by two new free offerings. As is customary, the launch of the latest giveaway coincided with Epic announcing its free titles for the following week.

Epic Games Store: A Comprehensive List Of Every Free Game It’s Had To Date

Here’s a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until February 12 to get the current free game.

Return to Ash Headlines Epic Games Store’s February 19 Giveaway

The February 19 freebies include only one full game: Return to Ash, a black-and-white visual novel starring a wide-eyed girl who wakes up in the afterlife. Faced with her new reality, she will have to explore her surroundings, forge bonds with a small but varied cast of characters, and make decisions that will ultimately determine how her poignant story ends. Return to Ash was developed and published by Serenity Forge, a Colorado-based studio that says it specializes in thought-provoking games. It was never before free on the Epic Games Store, having only been released in July 2025.

The February 19 giveaway will also include the Starter Pack DLC for free-to-play MMOFPS Stalcraft X, an extraction shooter with a blocky aesthetic and post-disaster setting reminiscent of Minecraft and STALKER, respectively. First released in December 2022, the EXBO-developed title peaked at 40,311 concurrent Steam players two years later. It currently has “Mixed” reviews on Valve’s storefront, based on over 15,100 user impressions. For comparison, Return to Ash has “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, although the sample size is significantly smaller, numbering fewer than 100 reviews.

The Starter Pack giveaway will kick off just one day after Stalcraft: X formally launches on the Epic Games Store on February 18. Priced at $24.99, the add-on includes a variety of weapons, armor, cosmetics, and artifacts, among other content. It also features a seven-day Premium subscription, with the overall package being designed to provide an accessible entry point for new players.

While waiting for the February 19 giveaway to begin, Epic Games Store users are able to claim Nobody Wants to Die and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark. Both are detective games at their core, though they differ significantly in setting and gameplay. Nobody Wants to Die is a first-person adventure set in New York City in 2329, where the wealthy can extend their lives indefinitely by transferring their consciousness into new bodies. Players assume the role of James Karra, a detective in the Mortality Department investigating a serial killer targeting the city’s elite. Apart from a decidedly tech noir story likely to appeal to fans of Blade Runner and Minority Report, Nobody Wants to Die features multiple endings that depend on the game’s many choices.

Conversely, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark offers a much less serious experience. Designed as a collection of bite-sized micro cases, this point-and-click adventure drops players into a fictional metropolis of Twin Lakes, where deadpan Detective Francis McQueen investigates a string of supernatural oddities. Released in April 2021, A Fumble in the Dark is a direct sequel to Spooky Doorway’s 2017 adventure The Darkside Detective, which was also free on the Epic Games Store just recently, having been given away in early December 2025.
