The Epic Games Store has formally announced Chivalry 2 as its final freebie of 2025, available through January 1. Contrary to earlier speculation, this offer will not conclude the Epic Games Store’s winter giveaway, as two additional mystery titles have just been teased as coming soon afterward.
The ongoing holiday season giveaway started with a 100% discount on Hogwarts Legacy on December 11, then continued with 13 more freebies in the December 18–30 period. Most recently, Epic Games Store users were able to claim Viewfinder and Trine Classic Collection on December 29 and 30, respectively.

Epic’s 15th Holiday Mystery Game Is Now Available To Claim
With the Epic Games Store’s Trine bundle giveaway officially over, another freebie has taken its place on December 31: Chivalry 2. The medieval action title is available to claim for exactly 24 hours, with its newly debuted 100% discount running until 8am PT / 5pm CET on January 1. This isn’t the first time that Chivalry 2 is free to claim on PC, having previously been featured in a week-long EGS giveaway running from late May through early June 2024. As previously anticipated, today’s offer marks not only Epic’s final free game of 2025 but also the end of its fast-paced, festive giveaway rhythm, which saw it rotate new freebies every 24 hours for two weeks straight.

Originally launched in June 2021, Chivalry 2 is a multiplayer melee action game with a medieval setting and some decidedly brutal combat. Designed with chaos as a core principle, it features no single-player mode and does not even support fully disabling PvP, instead focusing on delivering one cinematic battle epic after another. Even without co-op, Chivalry 2 offers plenty for fans of For Honor’s combat or the large-scale warfare of Mount and Blade: Bannerlord. As of December 2025, the medieval MMO holds “Very Positive” player reviews on Steam, as well as an 82 average score on OpenCritic.
