The Epic Games Store has officially announced Foretales as its free game for July 23. The upcoming summer promotion will mark the first time ever that the title has been offered at no charge to Epic Games Store users.
Developed by French studio Alkemi and published by Montpellier-based Dear Villagers, Foretales is a single-player narrative card adventure released for PC and Nintendo Switch in September 2022. It follows Volepain, an anthropomorphic shoebill stork and petty thief who begins seeing visions of an impending catastrophe after stealing a magical lyre. This sets the stage for an epic adventure presented in the form of a digital tabletop game.
Foretales Debuting as Epic Games Store Freebie Next Week
Two months ahead of its fourth anniversary, Foretales has now been unveiled as the Epic Games Store’s next freebie. The narrative-driven card game will be available to claim as soon as Epic’s newly launched giveaway ends on July 23, at 8 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. EDT / 5 p.m. CET. Regularly priced at $19.99, Foretales will be free to grab for exactly seven days, until July 30.
