Lucky Goal is currently free on the Epic Games Store, with its temporary discount offering about $5 worth of savings. Epic Games Store users have until March 29 to grab the minimalist soccer game free of charge.
For years, Epic has been giving away freebies on a weekly basis to promote its digital storefront. In early February 2026, the company implemented changes to its publishing restrictions that effectively allowed anyone to launch freebies via the Epic Games Store, even without coordinating such promotions directly with the platform. Ever since then, surprise freebies have been popping up on the Epic Games Store with increased frequency.

In terms of what is actually on offer here, Lucky Goal is an arcade title loosely based on soccer, but with a lot of wacky elements thrown in. Players compete across a wide variety of arenas, many of which draw on other sports, including bowling, basketball, and volleyball. The basic objective is always to outscore the opposition. Some single-player modes are part of the package, but they primarily serve to familiarize players with the game’s mechanics. The bulk of the content is found in the multiplayer modes, with the overall experience seemingly aimed at fans of Rocket League.
Lucky Goal‘s multiplayer offerings are split into two modes: Classic and Mordor. In Classic, players compete in two teams of three over a set period. Mordor, by contrast, features a more dynamic ruleset centered on four three-person teams that each have a predetermined number of lives. Conceding a goal costs a team one life, and the winner is the last team standing. In that sense, Mordor is essentially Lucky Goal‘s take on a battle royale mode.
All Free Games on the Epic Games Store Right Now
The 100% discount on Lucky Goal coincides with the Epic Games Store’s latest weekly giveaway, which includes vertically scrolling sci-fi shooter Hyper Echelon and cozy city builder Havendock. Both are available to claim until next Thursday, April 2. Separately, management sim Symmetry is free on the Epic Games Store until April 1, thanks to another publisher-initiated giveaway similar to the Lucky Goal promotion. Set in a retro-futuristic world, Symmetry tasks players with helping crash survivors regroup on a cold, hostile planet by gathering resources, repairing their ship, and ultimately escaping. In addition to its management sim mechanics, the game features moral choices and a “non-obvious sci-fi plot.” A single playthrough takes about three hours, and beating the game once unlocks a more streamlined survival mode.
The four freebies that are currently available on the Epic Games Store are valued at $47.96 combined, based on their full retail prices. Looking ahead, the current crop of deals will be followed by a 100% discount on Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, a popular robot arena fighter with limb dismemberment mechanics that Epic just recently confirmed as its next weekly freebie. Regularly priced at $19.99, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone will become available to claim on April 2.
