Battlestate Games has released a new Escape From Tarkov event that takes place on Factory, the game’s smallest map. Until May 4, Escape From Tarkov players can challenge Killa and Tagilla in the new Arena Cleanup Crew event on Factory.
Escape From Tarkov regularly holds in-game events that offer a change of pace from the regular gameplay. These events are typically more difficult than usual, featuring mechanics adjusted to offer players a fresh challenge. Sometimes, Battlestate Games uses events as a way to test out items and features before they become part of the main game. The developer does not have a consistent schedule for Escape From Tarkov events, but it’s rare for the game to go more than two consecutive months without one.
Escape From Tarkov Factory Event Allows Players to Challenge Killa and Tagilla
The latest Escape From Tarkov event was revealed on X, named Arena Cleanup Crew. This event sees players challenge Killa and Tagilla on daytime Factory, the smallest Escape From Tarkov map, in both PvP and PvE. Players can expect to find new cleanup crews across Factory in groups of three or four, instead of regular Scavs. The lore description for the event reads, “Ref needs Factory to hold Arena fights – and he intends to achieve this goal by any means necessary. A cleanup crew led by Killa and Tagilla is already on site to eliminate anyone who is disrupting the show.”
For the duration of the event, Escape From Tarkov Scav runs on Factory are disabled, which makes sense given that it’s all about fighting two Scav bosses. All transits to Factory are disabled, too. Players who want to take part in this event will need to act fast, as it’s only available until May 4, ending at 1 AM EST. Because Factory is such a small map, this temporary event is sure to cause some real chaos over the next few days.
Player response to the event has been mixed so far, with some complaints about the overall difficulty and issues finding Killa and Tagilla on the map. The constant gunfights with the cleanup crew are a point of contention; some love them, while others would prefer they be toned down. Some raised the point that the lack of player Scavs on the small map should mean more players bringing better gear to the fight. Given the 100% spawn rate for the Scav boss pair, it’s certainly a great opportunity to earn the Master of ULTRA achievement for defeating Killa 100 times as a PMC.

Escape From Tarkov players have a lot to look forward to this year. Last month, Tarkov players noticed a mysterious TarCoin item, and its purpose has still not been revealed by Battlestate Games. Meanwhile, the developer is yet to release the highly anticipated Icebreaker map, which was first teased last year. The map is expected to arrive in the game’s 1.0.5 update, although no launch date has been given at this point.
