- Fallout 76 players are planning to continue nuking Microsoft CEO Phil Spencer’s camp as a protest against studio closures.
- The CEO’s camp was originally nuked just for fun and did not happen as backlash for the studio closures, but future nukes could be motivated by the controversial shutdowns.
- With nuking camps being far from easy to do, though, it remains to be seen if more players will be able to successfully destroy Phil’s camp.
Fallout 76 players have decided to keep nuking Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer’s in-game camp. Previously, a social media post let the gaming world know that Microsoft executive Phil Spencer was nuked by another player in Fallout 76, prompting other players to want to do the same thing.
Microsoft executive Phil Spencer is an active gamer, and a lot of other players are aware of this. His gamertag, P3, is well known, and he has even tweeted about it being a nickname from his youth. However, since Microsoft began to close down studios, many players have blamed the CEO for the decision. This led to gamers celebrating after a specific player nuked Phil Spencer’s camp, and others who love Fallout 76 challenges are now looking to do the same thing if they can.

Fallout 76 Gamers Are Nuking Phil Spencer
Microsoft’s own Phil Spencer is being attacked in Fallout 76, with players enacting nuclear warfare on the CEO’s personal camp.
Phil Spencer’s camp initially got nuked amid backlash for Microsoft’s decision to close down a series of studios such as Arkane Austin and others. Now, other players may follow suit if they can launch nukes in Fallout 76. As reported on Comicbook.com, now that Phil Spencer’s Fallout 76 camp has been nuked and the post has gone viral, other players are looking to do the same thing.
Fallout 76 Players to Continue Nuking Phil Spencer
However, the CEO might take comfort in knowing that launching nukes in Fallout 76 is not exactly easy. Launching nukes requires three major components. The first is finding the Nuclear Silo Code Fragments. The codes are generated randomly. Then players need to gain access to the Silos, which is very difficult since only high-ranking generals can use the elevator to a Silo. The third component is finding a way into the Control Room, which means facing heavy resistance.
Many players are unhappy with Phil Spencer even though it’s currently unclear if the decision to shut down the studios came directly from him. The shutdowns include Tango Gameworks, the studio behind the popular Hi-Fi Rush. Fallout 76 players angry about this are the most likely to continue nuking the CEO’s camp, assuming they can find it and are able to deal with all the difficulties of launching nukes.
The strange thing about this whole situation where players might keep attacking Spencer’s camp with nukes or other overpowered weapons in Fallout 76 is that the initial attack wasn’t launched because of the studios closing down. That particular player revealed that he had been planning to do so for weeks, but the timing of his act has inspired frustrated fans to keep the nukes coming in protest.
