Fallout 76 Reveals Dazzling Winners of ‘Rip Daring vs Aliens Showdown’ Contest [EXCLUSIVE]

GameRant can exclusively reveal the winners of the latest Fallout 76 C.A.M.P. design contest. Themed after some of the wackiest elements from the series’ lore, the event yielded a variety of inspired Fallout 76 designs.

In September 2025, Bethesda overhauled Fallout 76‘s C.A.M.P. system, introducing looser object snapping rules that allowed for a much wider variety of building techniques, such as connecting two opposite-facing walls to apply wallpaper on both sides. Since then, the studio has held multiple design contests to promote the greater base-building freedom enabled by the update. The latest such contest launched on April 2, inviting fans to submit C.A.M.P. designs inspired by the Zetan aliens or Rip Daring, the protagonist of the pulp magazine series Astoundingly Awesome Tales, whose issues can be discovered across Appalachia. Submissions closed on April 27 at 12 p.m. ET.

Fallout 76 ‘Rip Daring vs Aliens’ C.A.M.P. Design Contest Winners

After a week’s worth of deliberations, Bethesda picked the contest’s winners, which GameRant can now exclusively reveal. The winning designs are Mobile Cryptid Hunter HQ and Zetan Crawler, created by Discord users AppleMentats and RadRux, respectively. Both winners will receive 5,000 Fallout 76 Atoms that can be spent in the game’s Atomic Shop, in addition to the 5,000 Atoms awarded to all semi-finalists. AppleMentats will also receive the exclusive in-game C.A.M.P. title “Daring Supporter,” while RadRux will receive “Alien Supporter” in recognition of their wins.

Fallout 76 ‘Mobile Cryptid Hunter’ C.A.M.P. Overview

AppleMentats’ Mobile Cryptid Hunter HQ, much like its name suggests, was designed as a mobile base for Rip Daring. The C.A.M.P. arrives in the form of a fortified, overstuffed expedition vehicle that is essentially a rolling bunker. Its exterior features layered metal panels, grilles, spikes, floodlights, antennas, warning signs, and improvised armor, creating a vehicle clearly built for dangerous fieldwork rather than comfort. The front-facing floodlights, roof equipment, and defensive spikes make it look like part expedition rig, part post-apocalyptic monster-hunting van. Altogether, that makes it a natural fit for a Fallout cryptid hunter like Rip Daring.

Fallout 76 ‘Zetan Crawler’ C.A.M.P. Overview

By contrast, RadRux’s Zetan Crawler is a C.A.M.P. shaped like an alien war machine. It was made to look like a stomping machine with a central pilot chamber, heavy mechanical limbs, weapon-like appendages, and an array of mysterious lights. Its design language leans hard into classic Fallout alien imagery, with rounded saucer geometry, metallic surfaces, exposed pipes, vents, and mechanical joints. Although Zetans in the series’ lore are not exactly known for building walking contraptions, the retro-futuristic UFO aesthetic RadRux captured here looks as though it could easily fit into a future Invaders from Beyond-style event in Fallout 76.

The positive community response to the last several events gave Bethesda reason to consider turning these C.A.M.P. design contests into a more regular occurrence. In the meantime, the ongoing Cryptids from Beyond the Cosmos season is scheduled to run for another month, ending sometime in June 2026. It will be followed by Season 25, Appalachia Under Siege, which does not yet have a release date.
