February 6 Will Be a Big Day for Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero has officially shared all the details about the game’s upcoming Version 2.6 update, with the long-awaited Angels of Delusion finally joining the game. The urban action RPG from HoYoverse has seen a plethora of big changes since the Version 2.0 update first launched last year, with lots of exciting characters and upgrades. The Waifei Peninsula brought a plethora of beloved characters to the playable cast, like Ju Fufu, Yuzuha, and Dialyn, among many others. However, the Angels of Delusion could easily be Zenless Zone Zero‘s most highly-anticipated faction.

The Angels of Delusion saw their first teasers early into the game’s development, even being hinted at before its official release. HoYoverse first mentioned the “Virtual Idols” faction through the game’s official social media ahead of its debut, with the group being given the name “Angels of Delusion” in April 2025. Sunna was the first member of the group to be featured as an in-game NPC, making an appearance during the main event of the Version 2.1 update, while Aria later appeared as an NPC during Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.5. Now, HoYoverse is gearing up to roll out the first playable members of the Angels of Delusion.

The recent Version 2.6 Special Program gave fans all the details about the exciting new update to Zenless Zone Zero. HoYoverse will officially add two members of the Angels of Delusion’s trio to the game as playable characters throughout the update, with Sunna set to debut during the first half and Aria in Phase 2. Version 2.6 will also feature a pair of re-runs of two of Zenless Zone Zero‘s most popular characters, with Yixuan and Yuzuha receiving re-runs during the patch. Each character will also debut with an accompanying skin as part of the update, giving Aria a darker outfit while Sunna swaps her typical clothes for a maid uniform.

Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.6 has lots in store for fans beyond the debut of the Angels of Delusion. The update will give fans plenty of chances to pull for its exciting new characters, with a special event granting a free Inter-Knot Membership. Zenless Zone Zero will introduce a multitude of mini-games for fans to enjoy, showing off both a rhythm game and a Tetris-inspired mini-game within the jam-packed Version 2.6 livestream. Two of Zenless Zone Zero‘s past characters will also be receiving some new buffs during the patch, granting some helpful boosts to both Harumasa Asaba and Lycaon.

Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 2.6 Follows A Similarly Stacked Update

Zenless Zone Zero has provided plenty to be excited about throughout its recent updates, with lots of major new characters joining the roster. Version 2.5 introduced the second playable member of the Void Hunters to the cast, with Ye Shunguang quickly becoming one of the strongest characters in the game alongside the debut of Zhao. Popular S-Rank character Jane Doe also received her first skin as part of the update, with players able to pick up the Nocturne of Light skin for free through the end of Version 2.5.

While two members of the Angels of Delusion will make their long-awaited playable debuts in Version 2.6, the group still has one more member to come. The third member of the trio, Nangong Yu, is expected to join the roster during the Version 2.7 update, with HoYoverse likely confirming her release in the coming weeks. HoYoverse has also teased some special perks players can pick up by acquiring the Angels of Delusion, including exclusive in-game phone wallpapers, pendants, and a dynamic background. Zenless Zone Zero looks to be pulling out all the stops for the Angels of Delusion’s release, with plenty of festivities planned for Version 2.6.
