At EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, Arc System Works revealed the final launch team for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the Samurai Outriders led by Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider. There has been no shortage of speculation that Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls would have more announcements at EVO, even just after revealing Dr. Doom’s villain team earlier this month. As it turns out, the Samurai Outriders made their surprising debut towards the end of the event.

As the launch date for Marvel Tokon approaches, fans have been waiting to see the full roster of characters revealed. At Sony’s June State of Play event, Arc System Works confirmed the Knights of Doom team for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Led by Dr. Doom, this team featured all villains, with newcomers Carnage and Green Goblin being joined by fan favorite Magneto. Following that announcement, Arc SYstem Works teased that the final team would be made up of outlaw-style characters and, considering that Ghost Rider is team leader, many assumed the team would be comprised of Midnight Sons characters. As it turns out, that wasn’t actually the case.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Reveals Samurai Outriders Team

Essentially wrapping up EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, the final team confirmed the full roster of characters for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Kicking things off with Ghost Rider, the crowd exploded with excitement as Blade finally appeared as the second character on the team, with the legendary vampire hunter armed with his Muramasa sword, glaives, and machine pistols. Arc Sys teases that Blade has an aggressive combat style and can essentially power himself up, seen in the trailer when changing his sword to red. His unique ability, Heartstopper, throws a stake that pins the opponent down, allowing Blade to rush them down and slash them up.

The second revealed character was a bit of a surprise, being revealed as “The Soldier” with “Boy-Scout” listed as the VO. While that likely confused most people, it was quickly revealed to actually be the shape-shifting Asgardian god, Loki Laufeyson. The God of Mischief and Lies lives up to his name, as Loki utilizes a lot of feints and counters thanks to his illusions. He also has projectiles based on ice and magic and can keep opponents guessing thanks to his erratic movement style.

Before too long, the screen froze, revealing the ever popular Deadpool as the final character, and breaking the fourth wall with Nolan North once again voicing the Merc with a Mouth. The trailer featured all sorts of references for players to pick out, including what appeared to be Dr. Doom’s iconic foot dive attack taken from Marvel vs Capcom 3. That appears to be intentional as Arc Sys confirmed that Deadpool got his hands on a game guide through the fourth wall, giving him access to a number of unique attacks from “fighting games of legend.” From a gameplay perspective, Deadpool features what Arc Sys calls a “high-risk” fighting style, using swords, grenades, and guns that can sometimes involve damaging himself, though he also has the ability to tap into his healing factor as well.

Finally, the trailer had a few more reveals to share. The newest stage to join the game is Asgard, the Realm of the Gods. Sitting at the top of Nine Realms, players will notice a mix of science and technology, with five areas to explore: the Observatory, Bifrost Bridge, Throne Room, Treasure Vault, and Yggdrasil, the World Tree. For the first time since the previous Marvel Tokon closed beta test, Arc System Works also announced an Open Beta test for both PS5 and PC players. Details are limited, but the open beta runs from July 24–26 and while it likely won’t have the full roster, Blade is confirmed to be playable in this build.
