Final Fantasy 14 players waiting for Dawntrail news will soon be in luck, as Square Enix announced that the next Letter from the Producer Live broadcast and the updated Dawntrail benchmark are right around the corner. The 81st Live Letter will air on the morning of May 16, and the updated Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail PC benchmark is slated to be released during the week of May 23.
These upcoming events will arrive amid a rough news cycle for Final Fantasy 14. Following some changes made to a payment processor, Final Fantasy 14 players reported issues concerning transactions that would not go through on either the FF14 Online Store or the Mog Station. While multiple payment methods were affected, Visa credit and debit card users were among the most impacted globally. Days after the payment errors were reported, Square Enix released a statement on May 1 to address the matter. The company confirmed an issue with the new payment processor and Visa debit card transactions, and it was working to remedy the situation for all parties involved.
Final Fantasy 14 Announces Changes to Player Blacklist
During the 14-Hour Broadcast, Final Fantasy 14 confirms that a significant upgrade to the player blacklist feature will arrive in Dawntrail.
As Square Enix continued to address players’ concerns with its payment processor, the company also gave Final Fantasy 14 fans two dates to look forward to. On Thursday, May 16, at 7:00 AM Eastern, Letter From the Producer Live Part 81 will air, as the first of two Live Letter broadcasts scheduled ahead of Dawntrail‘s release. While previous Live Letters covered the graphical update for Dawntrail, the 81st Live Letter will touch upon combat Job balance heading into Dawntrail. In addition to the highly-anticipated Job action trailer, the new Viper and Pictomancer Jobs, and the planned reworks of the Dragoon and the Astrologian, will likely be among the main topics.
