First 2028 LEGO Sets May Have Finally Leaked in the Worst Way Possible

LEGO‘s first sets specifically tipped for 2028 may have surfaced in a particularly frustrating way: by disappearing from the increasingly detailed 2027 release picture. More specifically, two long-rumored LEGO Star Wars models are now suspected of having slipped from their original 50th anniversary launch window into 2028.

The sets in question are brick-built replicas of the bounty hunter pursuit scene and Ewok village from Episode 2 and Episode 6, respectively. Both models were first mentioned as part of a much larger list of upcoming LEGO Star Wars products sourced by the Brick Tap community in early January 2026. Although the original list did not specify a release year, follow-up reporting later that month placed both in 2027, and they continued appearing in LEGO Star Wars 2027 rumor roundups throughout the summer.

Two LEGO Star Wars Sets May Have Been Delayed to 2028

That expectation has now changed. In a late September 2026 update posted as an ephemeral Instagram Story, prolific LEGO leaker a.clay.brick said there was still “no word” on either set for 2027. Barring a surprise wave late in the year, both have likely been delayed to 2028, the insider said, noting that the new timeline is merely an educated guess on their part.

Potential 2028 LEGO Star Wars Sets Rumor Roundup

The delay theory is gaining weight because increasingly detailed leaks have filled in much of the unofficial LEGO Star Wars 2027 calendar without providing new information on either set. While details on unannounced sets often trickle out in stages, it is exceedingly rare for insider reports to identify any such product—let alone two—only to be followed by eight months of complete radio silence. Indeed, the January 2027 LEGO Star Wars wave is already extensively mapped out, while dozens of additional Q2 and Q3 products have leaked since. That does not rule out an unreported mini-wave launching in late 2027, but it leaves the two older rumors from a highly reliable source without an obvious place in the currently known schedule for the year ahead.

Ewok Village is reportedly expected to cost around $180, but little else has been claimed about the unannounced set so far. Its piece count, minifigure lineup, age rating, and official product number all remain unknown. That said, its rumored name recalls 10236 Ewok Village, a sizable LEGO Star Wars model with 17 minifigures and 1,990 pieces overall. Regardless of how closely the rumored set follows the original concept, its release would be notable as only the sixth Endor set in well over a decade. The most recent was 75424 AT-ST Attack on Endor, launched in March 2026, after 75353 Endor Speeder Chase Diorama and 40623 Battle of Endor Heroes arrived in May 2023. Those are the only Endor sets released so far this decade.

The previously leaked Bounty Hunter Pursuit set similarly appears to revisit an older product. LEGO released 7133 Bounty Hunter Pursuit in 2002 as a 259-piece Attack of the Clones set featuring Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Zam Wesell. Its successor has not had its build or minifigures detailed as of yet. That lack of new info is conspicuous after months of more granular LEGO Star Wars set leaks covering dozens of other anticipated 2027 models.
