First LEGO Pokemon Set With Minifigs Detailed in New Leak

First LEGO Pokemon Set With Minifigs Detailed in New Leak

One of LEGO‘s upcoming Pokemon sets will reportedly take the form of a giant Poke Ball accompanied by minifigures. The set is currently LEGO’s only rumored Pokemon product expected to include minifigs.

The LEGO Pokemon theme was officially launched in early 2026 with three sets: 72151 Eevee ($59.99), 72152 Pikachu and Poke Ball ($199.99), and 72153 Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise ($649.99). All three were unveiled in January and hit store shelves in March 2026. They were joined by 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection and 40911 Mini Pokemon Center, both available through LEGO’s regular “Gift with Purchase” promotions. Despite their wide differences in price and piece count, the five sets have one thing in common: none of them include minifigures, one of the most recognizable elements of LEGO’s modern offerings.

LEGO Kicks Off March 2026 with 25 New Sets

25 new LEGO sets spanning 12 themes are available for purchase as of March 1, with plenty more being set to follow later this month.

LEGO’s Upcoming 72154 Poke Ball Set Reportedly Includes Minifigures

A LEGO Pokemon set with minifigures may finally be on the horizon in the form of 72154 Poke Ball, according to a new report by the Brick Tap community’s Chief Wiggum. The set—whose first details surfaced online as part of a separate LEGO Pokemon leak in late 2025—is said to be a giant Poke Ball that opens to reveal a scene inside. It remains unclear whether its rumored minifigures will depict people, Pokemon, or both. The set is rumored to retail for $259.99 and release on August 1, 2026.

Aside from the product name and description, the newly surfaced details about set 72154 were previously shared by another LEGO Pokemon leaker, lego_minecraft_goat, in January 2026. However, the latest Brick Tap update contains a small discrepancy, stating that the massive Poke Ball replica will include 2,239 pieces. By contrast, lego_minecraft_goat reported the set’s final piece count as 2,339. Given that the two figures differ by only a single digit, the simplest explanation is that one of the sources had a typo in their report.

Except for 72150, all of the above LEGO sets are rumored for release on August 1, 2026; 72150 might also debut on the same date, but no credible source has yet claimed that to be the case.

The current batch of unverified LEGO Pokemon leaks includes set names with unknown numbers and set numbers with unknown names, suggesting that some product details are merely waiting to be linked rather than leaked. Specifically, earlier reports suggested LEGO was working on sets called Eevee Evolution, Scorbunny Evolution, Dojo House and Riolu, Mewtwo Lab, and Stadium Bus. All are expected to carry set numbers in the 721xx range, with only the final two digits still unknown. Those sets are also rumored to be compatible with the Smart Play platform that LEGO formally unveiled in early 2026. However, 72164 Pikachu’s Training House is currently the only one said to include a Smart Brick, while the rest will merely support the accessory if purchased separately.

The Smart Play-compatible Pokemon sets are expected to launch in only half a dozen countries: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, and Australia. This is because LEGO imposed the same geographical restriction on its existing Smart Play sets from the Star Wars line, the first of which were released on March 1, 2026.
