World of Warcraft: Forever is hit by a leak ahead of its November 4 launch, and it’s allegedly getting an expansion featuring new Raids and Dungeons, a new zone, a legendary weapon quest, and two playable races. Blizzard has already recognized the potential of its new social-focused MMO, introduced as the rumored “Classic Plus” experience that is basically vanilla WoW with retail features, new content, and a new direction. In fact, part of the appeal is that World of Warcraft: Forever comes with horizontal progression, allowing players to focus on leveling, alts, and exploration without having obsolete gear.
World of Warcraft: Forever Leaks Reveal New Playable Races for Alliance and Horde
World of Warcraft: Forever‘s Skyborne elves are a paid race, and the bundle to unlock them gave players access to the beta, which many fans didn’t like. Now, a new leak surfaced on 4chan, stating that there will be a new expansion pack tiered at $30, $60, or $90, called Shadows of Lordaeron, and it will include two new paid playable races: Worgen for the Alliance and Darkfallen Elves for the Horde. The pack will allegedly contain Gilneas as a new zone, two new Raids (Vault of Origins and The Cursed Throne), two new Dungeons (Manor Mistmantle and Farholde Catacombs), and a legendary weapon quest that awards Elarathil, Branch of Eternity. Darkfallen Elves would be a very popular and hype-inducing race selection for the Horde, but Worgen are also available in retail, and Blizzard stated that it doesn’t want to add retail classes to WoW: Forever. As such, the leak should be taken with a pinch of salt, but it doesn’t mean it’s outright guaranteed to be fake.
