With its latest update, Fortnite has added a new location that seems to be teasing a long-awaited crossover with Five Nights at Freddy’s. This brand-new Fortnite locale adds an in-construction building to the Battle Royale map, one that bears a striking resemblance to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria from the live-action Five Nights at Freddy’s movies.
Over the last nine years, Fortnite has released hundreds of collaborations that have run the gamut of the entire entertainment industry. These crossovers have included beloved movies like Star Wars and Avengers, TV shows like Power Rangers, anime like Attack on Titan, fellow video games like Halo, and even a wealth of musical artists like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott. More so than ever before, it feels like there’s no collab that’s off the table, but there’s still one Fortnite crossover that fans have been waiting years for.
Fortnite Could be Teasing Five Nights at Freddy’s Crossover
Fortnite has just received its Chapter 7 Season 4 update. This new season, titled ‘Override’, revolves around gaming icons, with Sonic the Hedgehog getting the spotlight during the season’s opening with a large new Green Hills-inspired POI, new Sonic-themed items, and some Sonic the Hedgehog skins in the Battle Pass. While these new features have been the main focus for most players, there are a handful of fans whose attention has been captured by a new map addition that could have a hidden meaning.

First spotted by AlignedEclipse and then shared by ShiinaBR, a new building located in the south-east of Fortnite‘s Override map seems to be teasing a long-awaited Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover. In its current state, the building can be found in mid-construction, but it already looks very similar to the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria building used in the live-action movies, with a long green roof, triangular front, and two tall side buildings being clear points of likeness. Going inside the construction site also reveals what fans think could be a stage area.
Adding fuel to this fire is an official Tweet from the Five Nights at Freddy’s Twitter account. On August 20, the official FNAF Twitter account posted an image teasing some kind of collaboration between Five Nights at Freddy’s and an unknown IP, which is simply labeled as “???” in the image.
There’s been no official confirmation of what this Five Nights at Freddy’s teaser is referring to, nor if the new Fortnite location is connected to the announcement. But given that Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 revolves around popular gaming characters, there’s never been a better time for the Battle Royale to include such a long-requested collaboration. That said, this current Fortnite season is already jam-packed with crossovers. While Sonic the Hedgehog is taking center stage right now, Kingdom Hearts‘ Sora, Persona 5‘s Joker, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon have all been confirmed as upcoming crossovers in Fortnite‘s Override season.
