Fortnite has shared a roadmap featuring all acts in the Chapter 7 Season 2, allowing players to get an idea of what’s coming to the game this season. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 went live on March 19 and took players from the Pacific Break season to Fortnite Showdown. While the previous season featured a vague theme, its main purpose was to introduce the Dark Voyager and the return of The Seven โ important parts to the Fortnite storyline.
The Dark Voyager and the Ice King are now on the island, and they aim to take down The Seven. In Chapter 7 Season 2, the Ice King is going head-to-head with The Foundation. It is a major rivalry, and that is why the season has been titled Showdown. In Fortnite Showdown, players must pick who to support: The Foundation or Ice King. Then, as they play, they must attempt to complete rivalries in order to complete Fortnite Showdown’s community challenges and help their team rise to the top. Act 1, Rise of the King, is now over, as both Team Foundation and Team Ice King have finished all Showdown Milestone goals by winning rivalries for their team.

Epic Games Reveals All Acts in Fortnite Showdown
Not even a month after launch, players have completed enough rivalries on each side to finish all Act 1 milestones in Fortnite. Soon, Act 2 will begin, and to celebrate the big news, Epic Games has shared some details on all the story parts that will come out in Chapter 7 Season 2. Act 2 is titled “The Elites,” and it appears to be focused on Elite Stronghold, an upcoming Fortnite Reload map. A third act has been confirmed, but the title is currently Redacted, so its theme remains a mystery. Lastly, there is the Chapter 7 Season 2 Epilogue, and players will be able to say goodbye to this season with a live event in Fortnite.
Rivalries are a key part of Chapter 7 Season 2. To progress in Act 1, players had to successfully take down opponents from their rival team in order to win points. When a Team Ice King player wins a rivalry in Fortnite, they receive a point, getting them one step closer to reaching the next milestone, and vice versa.
It is unknown whether players will have to continue entering rivalries in order to progress in Act 2. However, since it seems to be focused on the next Reload map, it is possible that players will have to play this game mode instead in order to gain points for their team. Players who have reached Elite rank or higher will receive early access to the upcoming Reload map in Fortnite on April 18. Full access will be granted to every player on April 20.

Unfortunately, not much information has been revealed regarding Act 3, but to make up for it, players can already get excited for the live event coming to Fortnite at the end of Chapter 7 Season 2. Fortnite Showdown is scheduled to end on June 6, 2026, so players can expect that event to take place on the final day of the season or during the last week.
