Fortnite Reveals What Happened with the Supposed Jeffrey Epstein Account

Fortnite Reveals What Happened with the Supposed Jeffrey Epstein Account

Epic Games has issued an official statement regarding a recently discovered Fortnite account believed to belong to sex offender, rapist, and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The most recent batch of the Epstein Files revealed a supposed purchase of V-Bucks, which led some internet personalities and users to believe that “littlestjeff1” was an account belonging to Epstein. Said Fortnite account features activity as recent as 2025, years after Epstein’s death while in federal custody.

Of course, the focus of the Epstein Files should be justice for victims and accountability for any co-conspirators, accomplices, or otherwise unaware people. That has not stopped any online discussion about everything Epstein was involved in beyond his convicted crimes. The Epstein Files have featured multiple references to the gaming industry, including a permanent suspension from Xbox Live. While many initially believed this was because of “harassment, threats, and/or abuse,” as the email states, there are reports that it was due to an agreement between Microsoft and the New York Attorney General for all registered sex offenders to be banned from Xbox Live.

With the release of recent files, readers not only discovered that Epstein had purchased V-bucks in the past but also believed that his username in Fortnite was “littlestjeff1.” Said profile had reached Silver 1 rank in Chapter 5 Season 1, which lasted from December 2023 to March 2024, and played a total of 75 matches in 2025. This led to pseudo-serious conversations about whether Jeffrey Epstein was still alive or not, to a degree making light of his serious crimes. Others believed it could have been some kind of hoax, which has now been confirmed by Epic Games.

Confirming this was a “ruse by a Fortnite player,” the services update channel responded to a post regarding the account. It revealed that a “few days ago”—likely when discovered in the Epstein Files—a player changed their username from “something totally unrelated” to “littlestjeff1.” It also explained that the trackers used to determine that this account was still active only shows current display names, not prior changes. It then went on to reveal that there are no records of Epstein’s email addresses as they pertain to the public documents within the Epic account system.

Finally, it noted that there have been multiple Fortnite accounts made in recent days with similar-looking email addresses and usernames. It is unclear if Epic Games is taking steps to punish and/or remove these accounts.
