Fortnite's Growing Problems Will Be The Target Of A New Epic "Strike Team"

Epic Games has acknowledged players’ complaints about Fortnite’s recent stability issues, and it’s taking action to fix them. Fortnite design director Ted Timmins has announced a new “multi-discipline live-ops strike team” will now be watching over Fortnite to catch any issues and help improve the game’s quality of life.

According to Timmins, members of the live-ops strike team will meet daily, prioritize feedback, and take action when needed. Timmins recently asked players to report any bugs that they encountered. This appears to be the natural next step to deal with some of Fortnite’s in-game issues.

“This new team is going to be a permanent addition to the development teams setup and I’m excited to see the results,” wrote Timmins. “It’s not to say they will catch everything, so I don’t want to set false expectations, but I am confident that you will see an improvement in the months and seasons ahead.”

Timmins also noted that Fortnite has “a fun update in February to spice things up,” and teased that self-revives and shockwave grenades may be making a comeback ahead of a Season 2 update in March.

Fortnite recently debuted Fall Guys Crown Jam, a new limited-time mode that lets players becoming a bean person while taking part in 3v3 basketball matches. One of the next collaborations coming to Fortnite will involve The Office, but further details have yet to be released.
