So far, it’s been a pretty big year for Fortnite. After last year’s introduction of Chapter 5, Fortnite seems to have caught a second wind, going full speed ahead with its various crossovers and events. Fortnite has taken many shapes since it launched in 2017, and these changes have kept the constantly evolving game at the top of many gamers’ lists.
Recently, Fortnite has boasted some incredible crossovers with the likes of Avatar: The Last Airbender and more Star Wars content. The game’s current Season 2, featuring the iconic pantheon of Greek gods, has put a fun twist on the gameplay, and according to recent leaks, there is even more to look forward to this year.
Fortnite Leak Reveals New Loki Skins
According to new leaks, popular Marvel Cinematic Universe character Loki is making his grand return to Fortnite, this time with a brand-new look.
Fortnite’s Rumored 2024 Roadmap
Leaker iFireMonkey shared information regarding Fortnite‘s plans for 2024 that promise a lot of exciting things in store for the battle royale game. Not only is the game’s iconic battle royale mode reportedly getting many exciting crossovers, but other game modes, like LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, are also set to have surprises in store.
Battle Royale
- Mad Max-themed Season coming in May
- Pirates of the Caribbean crossover in June
- Marvel Season with Doctor Doom and Fantastic Four crossover
- Fortnitemares in October
- Chapter 2 OG Fortnite in November
- Chapter 5 ends in November with finale event
- Chapter 6 begins in December
This roadmap is just a small taste of what is being promised by these leaks, but they’re incredibly exciting, if true. Shortly after Season 2 launched, rumors about Season 3 of Fortnite quickly began, with many of them speculating on the next theme revolving around an apocalyptic wasteland. The mention of Mad Max in these leaks adds even more weight to these theories. Of course, this could merely be a coincidence, but it would be strange to add one of pop culture’s most iconic post-apocalyptic protagonists without embracing the landscape he thrives in. With the upcoming Furiosa movie continuing the Mad Max franchise, it’s a perfect time to bring forth an apocalyptic version of Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite
- Star Wars Star Destroyer in May
- Klombos in July
- Farm builds in September
- Haunted builds for Fortnitemares
There has been plenty of great Star Wars content added to LEGO Fortnite, and the leak hinting at a Star Destroyer being added to the mode has been proven true, giving some more weight to these leaks. These rumored additions are all exciting to think about, but the prospect of haunted builds to celebrate Fortnitemares is one of the most intriguing.
Fortnite Festival
- Billie Eilish (April)
- Metallica (June)
- Karol G (August)
- Snoop Dogg (October)
Those who have played Fortnite within the past week will now know that Billie Eilish has indeed been featured in the game. Once again, a piece of information from the leaks has been proven as solid information. As the year continues, it seems as though Fortnite Festival has some great artists on the way. Since the Billie Eilish crossover was shown to be true, it’s not too far-fetched that the others are as well.
Rocket Racing
- Volcanic/Temple-themed update in June
- Sky/Heavens-themed update in September
There is less being promised for Rocket Racing compared to the other modes, but there is still plenty to be excited about. The different themes being teased by the leaks have the potential to bring some seriously unique tracks to race on. Fortnite‘s introduction of Rocket Racing brought some exciting new mechanics and gameplay to the game, and it will be interesting to see how the mode evolves throughout the year.
