Although the PS5 port of Forza Horizon 6 is still on track to be released soon, the game may not be released on Sony’s current-gen system until early 2027, according to a new leak. The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 was first teased during the January 2026 Xbox Developer Direct showcase, with Microsoft confirming that it would be a timed console exclusive on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Forza Horizon 6 May Barely Miss It’s 2026 Launch on PS5
While Xbox initially doubled down on its promise to ship Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 in 2026, a leak claimed that the port may not meet its initial target window. According to a report from Dealabs insider billbil-kun, Forza Horizon 6 is expected to launch on the PS5 on January 26, 2027, nearly a month into the upcoming year. The report corroborated a previous claim made by Tom Warren of The Verge, who stated that the port may have been pushed back into 2027. Warren said that the delay was intended to line up with a possible expansion launch ahead of the game’s first anniversary in May 2027. As of this writing, neither Microsoft nor developer Playground Games have publicly commented on Forza‘s PS5 release date.
