Free PS Plus Games for April 2026 Officially Available Now

The PlayStation Plus free games for April 2026 are now officially available across every membership tier of the service. This month’s offerings are valued at nearly $120 combined, with PS Plus users having 27 days to claim them.

Sony’s subscription service gave away 11 titles to users since the beginning of 2026. The most recent batch of free PS Plus games consisted of Monster Hunter Rise, TES Online: Gold Road, Slime Rancher 2, and PGA Tour 2K25. Both the February and March 2026 PS Plus freebie lineups included four games, one more than the norm.

Sony’s PlayStation Plus is an enticing subscription service, and here is almost everything you need to know about PS Plus as of March 2026.

PS Plus Returns to Triple Freebie Format with Newly Launched April 2026 Free Games

The PS Plus free games for April 2026 are officially available as of today, April 7, marking a return to the usual triple freebie format. The new lineup consists of anime ARPG Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, fantasy soulslike Lords of the Fallen, and the remasters of the first three Tomb Raider games. PS Plus users across every membership tier can add the April 2026 freebies to their accounts until May 4.

Aspyr’s Tomb Raider remaster trilogy is the most critically acclaimed offering from the April 2026 wave, with an average OpenCritic score of 75. It also has the highest PS Store user rating of the three, at 4.49 stars. The entire lineup consists of relatively recent releases: Lords of the Fallen debuted in 2023, while Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream and Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered both launched a year later. Lords of the Fallen is also notable for having received a major update ahead of its PS Plus debut, with the patch significantly expanding co-op options for guest players.

Throughout the first quarter of 2026, every wave of PS Plus free games included at least two PS4 titles, with the February lineup offering three. That pattern has now ended with the April 2026 selection, two-thirds of which are PS5-only. The PS4 technically still received multiple PS Plus games this month if Aspyr’s Tomb Raider remaster collection is counted as three separate titles, but that is largely a technicality, and this reduced focus on Sony’s last-generation console may be here to stay. As Sony first announced in June 2025, 2026 is meant to mark the beginning of PS4 titles being phased out of PS Plus monthly free game offerings, and April is the first month of the year to reflect that shift.

Based on Sony’s usual cadence, the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for this month will be officially announced tomorrow, April 8. The upcoming lineup is expected to go live on April 21, the same date that will likely see numerous existing titles leave Sony’s subscription catalog.
