The PlayStation Plus monthly games for July 2026 are now officially available to claim. Sony’s latest lineup includes $115 worth of titles that PS Plus subscribers can add to their libraries at no extra cost until early August 2026.
The PS Plus monthly games roster for June 2026 was a bit larger than usual, comprising four titles. Conversely, this month’s promotion marks a return to the standard three-game format that Sony has used consistently since the launch of the PS5.
PS Plus Extra Update Just Added 2 More Games
Sony adds two more games to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, raising June 2026’s lineup to five titles, with more still to come.
$115 Worth of New Games Now Available to PS Plus Subscribers
The monthly batch of PS Plus games for July 2026 features turn-based roguelite RPG For the King 2, action RPG CrossCode, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the second best-selling game of 2023 behind Hogwarts Legacy. All three titles became available to claim on July 7, around 9 a.m. ET stateside. In line with Sony’s usual catalog update patterns, PS Plus subscribers in Europe and Japan were able to claim the summer trio slightly earlier, around 10 a.m. local time.

CrossCode Is the Standout PS Plus Essential Game for July 2026 in More Ways Than One
For the King 2, Modern Warfare 3, and CrossCode have a combined retail value of $149.97 on the PS Store. That is roughly $50 below the monthly free games for June but also $10 above the May 2026 lineup. In terms of critical acclaim, CrossCode is the most lauded title from the July trio by some margin, averaging 84 on OpenCritic and 4.57 stars on the PlayStation Store, based on 71 media reviews and over 1,200 player ratings, respectively. Developed by German indie studio Radical Fish Games, CrossCode has received widespread plaudits for delivering a thoughtful homage to ’90s JRPG classics while simultaneously being a compelling game in its own right. It was thus also praised for its engaging combat, rewarding exploration, emotional storytelling, and satisfying puzzles (plus variety thereof).
PS Plus subscribers who haven’t been keeping tabs on Activision’s AAA shooters as of late should note that the publisher decoupled Modern Warfare 3 from its controversial Call of Duty HQ launcher in 2025. As a result, the 2023 title no longer requires hundreds of gigabytes of HDD or SSD space to play.
Following the global rollout of the July 2026 monthly games, the next major PS Plus update is expected around July 15, when Sony will likely reveal the subsequent wave of Extra- and Premium-tier catalog additions. The first of those are likely to arrive on July 21, but not all of them probably will, because Sony has just started spacing out its content drops for Extra and Premium subscribers as of June 2026 in an attempt to boost PS Plus engagement and, consequently, profits.
