Game of Thrones fans will get the chance to learn more about the mysterious Children of the Forest in an upcoming event for Game of Thrones: Conquest. The limited-time event will offer unique rewards themed around the original inhabitants of Game of Thrones‘ continent of Westeros.
The iconic fantasy drama based on the novel series from George R.R. Martin boasts a rich world beyond the conflicts over the Iron Throne. Game of Thrones introduces a multitude of different fantasy races throughout its story, from GoT‘s White Walkers and Children of the Forest to the imposing Giants. The original novels span a far greater storyline for the world than the beloved HBO series could feature in its eight seasons, with games and spin-offs often taking a closer look at other parts of the series. Now, the mobile game titled Game of Thrones: Conquest is set to feature one of the franchise’s most notable races.
Game of Thrones: Conquest Adding Children of the Forest Event
The newest event coming to Game of Thrones: Conquest is officially set to focus on the Children of the Forest. The limited-time event will put the spotlight on the mysterious race with a variety of rewards based on the Children, and is expected to include both new objectives and potential new lore. Zynga has not confirmed any details about the gameplay of the Children of the Forest event, though the event is expected to explore history predating the Game of Thrones franchise’s main storyline. Fans looking to play the Children of the Forest event will need to act fast, as the event is scheduled to begin on July 29 and run until July 30.

Game of Thrones: Conquest has stood as one of the longest-running mobile games in the franchise. Conquest puts players in charge of their own house, tasking them with building up their kingdom, amassing resources, and battling with others to capture iconic locations from the series. The game often gives fans a closer look at some of the most memorable events and moments from the franchise, including an event in July 2026 focusing on Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys Targaryen and her military campaign to capture Slaver’s Bay.
Game of Thrones fans have no shortage of options when looking for games based on the franchise. Alongside Conquest, the recently-released Game of Thrones: Dragonfire operates on a similar strategy axis to Conquest, giving players the ability to raise dragons and battle with others to conquer King’s Landing. South Korean developer Netmarble, known for its mobile game adaptations of Solo Leveling and The Seven Deadly Sins, also launched a mobile-focused Game of Thrones RPG in 2025 with Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.
Game of Thrones fans are in for a big new release from the franchise in the near future. Developer PlaySide Games officially revealed Game of Thrones: War for Westeros as a new real-time strategy game based on the franchise, letting players take control of the main Houses or the Night King’s forces. Fans did receive some disappointing news about Game of Thrones‘ next major game, however, with PlaySide officially confirming that War for Westeros has been delayed from its 2026 release window into early 2027. Still, Game of Thrones continues to grow and expand as a franchise with plenty of new games for diehard fans.
