Dragons are one of the most essential parts of the world of Westeros, and Game of Thrones: Malachite details new one for fans to get familiar with. Any dragon added to the Game of Thrones lore is always guaranteed to inspire curiosity, and there’s plenty to be excited about with this upcoming release.
Game of Thrones has always had deep lore for fans to get lost in. A throwaway line could evolve into an entire spin-off. The series has hundreds of years of history to explore, which is why there have already been several popular Game of Thrones spin-offs, not just on TV, but in the video game space, too.
Game of Thrones: Malachite Detailed in New Dragonfire Release
One such spin-off is Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, a mobile game by Warner Bros. The game lets players unleash many of the Game of Thrones dragons to conquer Westeros in mobile RTS gameplay. It was released a few months ago now, and to aid players, the developer is releasing extensive guides to help players along the way. The most recent is Game of Thrones: Malachite, which is focused on the Green Warden dragon, detailing exactly how players should be utilizing it in their arsenal.
Malachite is described as a “Legendary support-oriented Tactical Sentinel who strengthens allied offense and survivability through broad buffing, sustained Recovery, and powerful early-round empowerment.” Players are advised to build around strong damage dealers, and use his healing and defensive support to keep momentum in longer fights. The guide shows off Malachites abilities, revealing how he “performs best in compositions built around one or two high-value offensive allies who can fully exploit his enhancement tools, and where his mix of sustain, offensive support, and early-round amplification can create decisive momentum swings.”
Since release, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire has already added multiple new dragons to the roster. While Malachite isn’t brand-new to the game, it’s cool to see this spotlight so that players know exactly how to use this powerful dragon in-game to its full potential. Hopefully, as the game continues to grow in popularity, Warner Bros. will add even more dragons in the future.
Game of Thrones might not have the cultural relevance that it had during the first few seasons of the TV show, but it still retains a dedicated fanbase that looks forward to every new release. There’s plenty for fans to look forward to in 2027, perhaps the most exciting project being PlaySide RTS Game of Thrones: War for Westeros. The upcoming title is bringing back Jon Snow and other fan favorite characters, which could be the perfect way to fill the gap before House of the Dragon Season 3 launches in 2028.
