Genshin Impact has announced a collaboration with Crunchyroll, which will include the fan-favorite Aranara pet as a reward. While the in-game Genshin Impact item was previously launched in other regions, this will be the first time players in the Americas will have a chance to obtain it.
In June 2025, Genshin Impact teamed up with KFC to launch exclusive in-game rewards for Chinese players, including the Neo Terminal: Floating Leaf Model pet, commonly known as the Aranara pet. Later, in June 2026, the game launched a similar collaboration with KFC Japan. While this campaign allowed users outside Asia to redeem the pet, it remained too inaccessible to many players. Now, to celebrate Genshin Impact‘s upcoming Version 7.0 launch, HoYoverse has unveiled a new way to unlock the popular Aranara companion.

As part of Genshin Impact‘s crossover with Crunchyroll, the game will give away multiple rewards such as the Aranara pet, Primogems, and more from August 12 to September 22, 2026. To obtain the exclusive in-game goodies, fans will need to access the event’s official website and log into their Crunchyroll account. They will then receive limited Genshin Impact redeem codes that can only be used once per account. Users who have Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan Crunchyroll subscriptions will obtain the popular Aranara pet, while all Crunchyroll members can redeem 40 Primogems and other EXP materials.
It is worth noting that the event is only available to Crunchyroll members in the US, Canada, and Latin America, excluding Cuba. Additionally, the redeem codes are only valid on Genshin Impact‘s America server. Players need to reach Adventure Rank 2 or higher to receive the rewards via in-game mail as well. All limited codes expire on September 22, 2026, so players should redeem them as soon as possible. They can also upgrade to a Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan membership at any point during the event to unlock the Aranara pet. The event coincides with Genshin Impact‘s highly anticipated Snezhnaya release, scheduled for August 12, though the Aranara pet is evidently inspired by Sumeru.

This is not the first time that the gacha game has launched a crossover reward exclusive to certain regions. In 2024, Genshin Impact launched limited KFC merchandise available only in China. Similarly, the game released the exclusive Wings of Delicacies glider with KFC China, though it later became part of a McDonald’s collaboration in the US as well. On the other hand, the original and KFC crossover featuring the Aranara pet also included a unique Genshin Impact Namecard with Alhaitham and Kaveh. It seems this item will remain exclusive to Asian countries for the time being.
While the Aranara pet requires a paid Crunchyroll subscription, the free Primogem rewards can also be useful for players. With the release of Snezhnaya, several new characters are expected to debut, so Genshin Impact fans should stock up on Primogems. The Cryo Nation is the game’s most anticipated region yet. Like previous nations, Snezhnaya will bring new Archon Quests and explorable areas, along with the addition of a new elemental reaction, Stellar Swirl.
