Grand Theft Auto 6 fans who have been patiently waiting for more news may want to circle May 21, 2026, on their calendars, as Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive sets the date for its next quarterly earnings call. With April now coming to a close, it is quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer, which was also accompanied by a new website and tons of new screenshots. Sadly, it was also the last time the community received any substantial news on the long-awaited title, outside of delays.

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 hasn’t been quite as excruciating as The Elder Scrolls 6, but with only two trailers in three years, fans are desperate to see more from one of gaming’s most anticipated releases of all time. Back in May 2025, Rockstar left fans disappointed by confirming rumors that Grand Theft Auto 6 was delayed to May 26, 2026. Given the studio’s history with delays, the news was somewhat unsurprising. But, just a few days later, Rockstar softened the blow with the release of the game’s second trailer, dozens of gorgeous screenshots, and an updated website with location and character details. The title would then go on to be delayed again in November 2025, but no trailer accompanied the news this time.

Take-Two Sets Date for Next Quarterly Earnings Call

In true Rockstar fashion, there has been no good news out of the studio for nearly an entire year. Thankfully, it looks like that could be about to end. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has now confirmed that its next quarterly earnings call will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026. For those who might be unaware, quarterly earnings calls are scheduled conferences that allow studio executives to reveal financial reports from the past quarter. It often results in updated sales figures for Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and other titles from Take-Two studios.

These calls also see shareholders question Take-Two on upcoming releases and other business subjects, and have resulted in the company’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, commenting on Grand Theft Auto 6 multiple times in the past. There’s a strong chance that Zelnick reveals something of minor importance regarding the title during the call. For example, the last earnings call saw confirmation that marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 will officially begin in the Summer.

However, the weeks prior to the call are when the big news could arrive. Last year’s second trailer and disappointing delay were made just two weeks before Take-Two’s earnings call, and while we’re hoping another delay isn’t on the cards, many believe a third trailer may be released ahead of May 21, as it often boosts Take-Two stocks just in time for its conference with investors.

However, Zelnick has already started that marketing will begin in the Summer, which technically doesn’t begin until June. This could mean that there will be no news shared in the build-up to the call, or the studio may kick things off a little earlier with a third trailer, followed by a few weeks of silence before it ramps things up later on in the year. For now, it all remains speculation, but given the history of these earnings calls, there’s a strong chance that Zelnick, at the bare minimum, provides fans with an update on Grand Theft Auto 6‘s November release date.
