The GTA 6 Extended Look showed off some very impressive details, including complex interior environments and side activities like backyard wrestling. This highly anticipated official gameplay reveal for GTA 6 just finished airing on Netflix and will be available to view on YouTube later this evening after a six-hour exclusivity window. Despite its 26-minute runtime, this showcase is filled to the brim with pure gameplay alongside story cutscenes to give fans a taste of what awaits in Vice City.
Despite the recent GTA 6 leaks beating Rockstar to the official punch, not everything included in the GTA 6 Extended Look was leaked beforehand. As such, there was plenty of new information and in-depth gameplay segments shown that only seemed to scratch the surface of what GTA 6 has to offer. For fans without Netflix accounts, there is also another brief GTA 6 teaser trailer to view ahead of the extended look’s full release on YouTube.

Right off the bat, the extended look at GTA 6 opens with a deal gone wrong, as Jason and Lucia navigate through a drug den looking for a pick-up for Boobie Ike, another new NPC in GTA 6. During this segment, the den is raided by police, and players have to make their way through the apartment complex’s twisting hallways while battling their way through police. Returning from Red Dead Redemption 2 are the slow-motion, cinematic camera angles when players pull off a particularly impressive shot, as Jason is shown scoring a headshot on a police officer with a shotgun.

Next, fans got a more detailed glimpse of Jason and Lucia’s relationship, showing their dynamic in Lucia’s apartment as the two get ready for a party. Lucia’s home is surprisingly interactive, as Jason is shown opening her fridge and choosing between several different drink options to take out. Returning from GTA 5 is the in-universe TV with parodies of popular commercials and products on display for players to enjoy.
After this segment, the extended look showed a variety of activities players can participate in around Vice City, including jet ski riding and backyard wrestling, which seems similar to the Underground Cage Fighting minigame from GTA 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony. Also on display are some of Vice City’s colorful residents, like a TikToker who falls from a bridge as Jason and Lucia drive by, and the infamous hammer lady who was shown in the GTA 6 reveal trailer.
Perhaps most importantly, fans finally got to see just how some of GTA 6‘s missions will play out. One mission showed Jason and Lucia playing getaway drivers for Raul Bautista, a known bank robber in Vice City that the pair are trying to get an in with. Later, the showcase featured a segment dedicated to a mission in which Jason and Lucia serve as security for real estate mogul Andreas DeLeon, protecting him from a would-be heist during another party. While the world of Vice City looks open and vast, more impressive is just how many detailed interiors players will get to explore as the story of GTA 6 progresses.
