The leaks have continued to come at a steady clip since then, giving fans early looks at GTA 6 combat, strip clubs, and more. The latest GTA 6 leak has shown off Lucia’s prologue in the game, spoiling what happens at the start of the story. We will not discuss what the leaked footage shows here, but consider this a general PSA that GTA 6 story spoilers are now potentially going to be hitting social media. It’s possible that even more GTA 6 story details could leak online in the days and weeks ahead, and so anyone that wants to preserve their experience of the game should be extra cautious when scrolling online.

While there are many fans that don’t mind the GTA 6 gameplay leaks, especially since they see it as a form of protest against Rockstar choosing not to release the game on a disc, there are many that vehemently oppose story spoilers. GTA fans have been waiting well over a decade for a new entry in the franchise, and now there is a real risk that they will have the story ruined for them before they get the chance to play it. For the sake of GTA fans, hopefully the story spoilers stay relegated to the prologue sequences, but even then, it’s best to be super cautious between now and the game’s release date.
The GTA 6 release date is set for November 19. It’s entirely possible that the game will suffer another release date delay between now and then, but Rockstar and Take-Two seem confident in the date. Of course, when GTA 6 is out, there’s an even greater chance for story spoilers to hit the internet. It’s virtually guaranteed that clips of the GTA 6 story, including major spoilers, will be posted by people on social media, so the safest bet is to stay off socials until after you’ve rolled credits.
As far as official GTA 6 reveals go, one is coming sooner rather than later. Rockstar Games is gearing up to release the GTA 6 Extended Look on Thursday, August 27 at 3pm EST. Rockstar hasn’t said what exactly the Extended Look will feature, but it’s a safe bet that fans will get their first official look at GTA 6 gameplay during the event. Those without a Netflix subscription can look forward to the Extended Look hitting Rockstar’s own YouTube channel about six hours after the initial broadcast.
