The latest episode of South Park revealed brand-new Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay ahead of the highly-anticipated game’s release later this month. Grand Theft Auto 6 built a considerable amount of hype over the years by barely showing anything. Grand Theft Auto 6 trailers were few and far between until just recently, but now the door has been blown wide open for promotion of the game.
Every week has had something new to talk about when it comes to GTA 6. Rockstar has fairly consistently been releasing new GTA 6 updates on Thursdays, so it came as a surprise when one of the more recent updates actually came on a Wednesday night. In fact, it came during the latest episode of Comedy Central’s South Park, with Rockstar providing the wildly popular adult animated sitcom with never-before-seen footage to show off.
New GTA 6 Gameplay Revealed on South Park
The clip shows Jason driving a convertible down the streets of Vice City, before shifting over to beach gameplay. Jason and Lucia are walking on the beach behind a man and his dog. The dog poops on the beach and the man picks it up with a doggy bag. Jason throws his drink at the man, making him drop the dog poop bag. Jason then picks up the bag and hits the guy in the face with it. The GTA 6 footage ends there, with the South Park characters remarking about their excitement for the game.
South Park has mentioned GTA 6 frequently this season. Characters in the show keep alluding to GTA 6‘s November release date, with the joke being that it at first seems like they are referring to the importance of the upcoming mid-term elections in the United States. There will be no new episode of South Park this coming Wednesday, but the next episode will premiere on Wednesday, November 11. Assuming the next episode of South Park sticks with this season’s trend, it’s highly likely that there will be more references to Grand Theft Auto 6. However, it remains to be seen if the next episode of South Park will include more exclusive GTA 6 gameplay. Those looking forward ot the game will simply have to tune in and see for themselves. For those interested, South Park airs Wednesday nights on Comedy Central, with new episodes uploaded to Paramount Plus on Thursdays.
Rockstar Games has a reputation for incorporating a level of detail that no other games do, and it seems like GTA 6 is going to be no exception. Few games would bother animating dogs pooping and making it possible to pick up the poop in a bag, let alone letting players use it as a weapon. It will be exciting to see what else there is to discover when it comes to GTA 6 gameplay features.
Luckily, the agonizing wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is nearly at an end. The GTA 6 release date is mere weeks away from the time of this writing and there is no sign that the game will be delayed. GTA 6 pre-loads are scheduled to start on November 12, so fans can plan accordingly.
