Some Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders have gone live, but they are not the full pre-order roll-out that fans have been hoping for. With Grand Theft Auto 6‘s release date set for November 19, there are only six months between now and the game’s highly-anticipated launch. Still, news on Grand Theft Auto 6 has been hard to come by, with fans repeatedly getting themselves worked into a frenzy about when they will finally see more of the game in action.
Recently, fans talked themselves into believing that GTA 6 was going to be the next Game Informer cover, only for it to be The Blood of the Dawnwalker instead. Even more recently, there was a lot of hubbub about GTA 6 pre-orders potentially going live this past Monday, May 18, accompanied by Trailer 3. Unfortunately for starved Grand Theft Auto fans that can’t wait to learn more about GTA 6, Monday came and went with no official pre-orders and no Trailer 3.
It’s Official: This Will Be the Summer of GTA 6
Grand Theft Auto 6 is still months away from release, but this summer should be exciting one for fans looking forward to the game.
Some GTA 6 Pre-Orders Have Been Spotted in the Wild
But even though official, worldwide pre-orders for GTA 6 haven’t gone live, some retailers have taken matters into their own hands. Reddit user Equivalent-Fix-177 spotted a couple of European retailers offering GTA 6 pre-orders – one in Denmark and one in Italy. These aren’t official pre-orders sanctioned by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, but they do show that some retailers are already preparing for GTA 6‘s big launch later this year. And while these pre-orders are unofficial, they are another encouraging sign that we are getting even closer to GTA 6‘s release.

Take-Two has insisted that GTA 6 is not in danger of getting delayed again, so barring any last-minute change of plans, it seems that fans can safely circle November 19 on their calendars. Whether they pre-order the game from a mom-and-pop brick-and-mortar store, a big chain, or digitally, fans can truly expect to play GTA 6 later this year. And with only six months to go until the game is out, fans can expect plenty more information on GTA 6 to come to light in the weeks ahead.
GTA 6 Trailer 3 is inevitable, as so little has been revealed about the single-player story mode. We haven’t even seen proper gameplay of GTA 6 yet, with the first two trailers focusing almost entirely on cinematics. Beyond that, we haven’t seen the GTA 6 online mode, which is 100% going to be a part of the package considering the dizzying success of GTA 5‘s online mode. We also don’t even know how much GTA 6 will cost, but once Rockstar and Take-Two have nailed down a price point, fans can expect pre-orders to go live worldwide and not just at random European retailers.
It’s already been said that GTA 6 marketing will ramp up this summer. Summer officially starts on June 21, so the wait for more GTA 6 news should come to an end sooner rather than later. Here’s hoping that Grand Theft Auto fans don’t have to wait too much longer to learn more about the game, and they can pre-order it from their preferred retailer ASAP.
