After years of development and multiple delays, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6 is finally launching on November 19, and you can now actually preorder the game. The $80 game arrives on November 19, but you can actually preload it a week earlier, which is nice for the countless people who no doubt want to begin playing the second they can.
Here’s everything you need to know about GTA 6 preloading.
GTA 6 preload schedule
GTA 6 players who preorder a digital copy of GTA 6 can begin preloading on Tuesday, November 10 at midnight local time in your respective time zone. This is to “ensure they are able to play at launch,” Rockstar said, adding that code-in-box versions for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles should be available from retailers starting November 12.
The game’s physical edition will be available to buy on November 12 “to support preloading,” Rockstar said. So if you walk into a GameStop or Walmart on November 12 and see a copy of GTA 6 on the shelves to buy, you can do so, but the game itself won’t unlock until November 19.
GTA 6 file size
GTA 6 is going to be massive, as Rockstar has confirmed the game will require up to 212GB of storage capacity, depending on your device.
GTA 6 launch times
GTA 6 launches on November 19, but when exactly? We don’t know yet, as Rockstar has not yet shared that information. Keep checking back with GameSpot for the latest on GTA 6’s launch times and more.
