Helldivers 2 fans are theorizing about the potential return of Warlords, an enemy type featured in Arrowhead Game Studios’ original Helldivers game. These terrifying robotic foes can be seen sprinkled throughout various locations within Helldivers 2, leading eagle-eyed fans to believe the massive robots may soon be added in an upcoming update.
Helldivers 2 has enjoyed an immense amount of success following its release earlier this year, with developer Arrowhead providing consistent content updates and continued support for the game. Despite being embroiled in controversy as of late with the now-infamous PlayStation Network account update being scrapped, Helldivers 2 remains incredibly popular, both on PlayStation and on Steam. Helldivers 2 acts as a direct sequel to Helldivers, which was released in 2015, and although the formula of the original has changed significantly, what makes Helldivers so much fun has been carried over. Both games feature a wide range of enemies to fight, making every encounter in Helldivers 1 or 2 feel fresh, intense, and fun. However, a recently discovered clue may fundamentally change Helldivers 2 forever.

Helldivers 2 Teases Return of Terrifying Enemy
The addition of Warlords would make sense, considering Helldivers 2’s impressive list of previous content updates. Players have been able to enjoy a plethora of new features and gameplay elements in recent months, with one of the largest additions to Helldivers 2 being the arrival of mechs. Warlords are heavily armored machines and only appeared during higher-difficulty missions in the original Helldivers. Due to their thick armor, Warlords made for incredibly intimidating foes, requiring players to use all the tools featured in the game in order to take them down. Warlords are yet to officially appear in Helldivers 2, and while still unconfirmed, it certainly seems like Arrowhead is teasing bringing back these legendary enemies.
In other news, Helldivers 2 recently launched its new Polar Patriots Warbond, which brought along several new pieces of armor as well as a few new weapons for players to try out. Just like the large majority of other multiplayer titles, players will find a feature-rich progression system in Helldivers 2 called a Warbond. Players can complete missions and other tasks in order to receive medals for use in this Warbond, which features weapons, gear, and armor to unlock. Warbonds come in both a free and premium version, with Arrowhead expected to continue supporting Helldivers 2 for quite a long time.
