Here’s What to Expect from ARC Raiders Week 7 Trials Challenges

As a new week begins, ARC Raiders players officially have a new set of Trials Challenges to complete. Those looking to get their hands on some new in-game rewards can now do so by competing in the latest set of Trials for ARC Raiders, which once again require players to take on Wasps, Pops, Bastions, and even the Matriarch, which is currently the deadliest enemy in the game.

The Trials system is just one of the many ways that ARC Raiders players can get their hands on high-value loot. While the main way to obtain Blueprints, Weapons, and other gear is by heading Topside and scavenging, Trials also allows fans to complete weekly challenges for special rewards. Every Monday, five new challenges are added to the game, where players can earn up to three stars for each one. Earning one star will reward players with an Uncommon item, two stars a Rare item, and three stars an Epic item. Players can earn even more rewards by achieving a higher ranking throughout the season. The more they climb the rankings, the better the rewards they will receive at the end of the season.

“Literally Playing Against a Machine” ARC Raiders Devs Explore How Enemy Intelligence Fuels Imagination

ARC Raiders’ developers explain how its enemies were built to behave like real machines, adapting with a sense of mechanical self-preservation.

Last week was Week 6 of ARC Raiders‘ Trials challenges, requiring players to damage Hornets, deliver Carriables, damage Rocketeers, Leapers, or Bastions, destroy Pops, and open ARC Probes. Despite only being a little over one month old, fans made it clear that they are already growing tired of the repetitive challenges appearing each week. Damaging or destroying Pops, for example, appears nearly every week in some capacity. Some players have called the system “lame,” while others have gone as far as to say that it is “absolute trash.”

How to Complete ARC Raiders Week 7 Trials

  • Destroy Ticks, Fireballs, and Pops
  • Search Supply Drops
  • Damage Wasps
  • Damage Bastions
  • Damage Queens or Matriarchs

For those who are looking to get their hands on some more loot in preparation for the first ARC Raiders Expedition this month, a new set of Trials Challenges is now live. Players who are level 15 or above can navigate to the Trials section of the main menu to check out the challenges, which involve destroying Ticks, Fireballs, and Pops, searching Supply Drops, damaging Wasps, Bastions, Queens, and Matriarchs. While the former of the bunch are common enemy types that can be found on most maps, Queens and Matriarchs are only available during certain map events, making this Trials challenge the most difficult of the bunch. However, it is worth noting that players don’t need to kill the Queen or Matriarch; they simply need to earn as much damage as they can in a single round.

As for the remaining challenges, many of them require players to either damage or destroy some pretty common ARC enemies. Pops, Ticks, and Fireballs, for example, can be found indoors in the majority of buildings. Wasps, also incredibly common, can be found outdoors with two thrusters on either side. While taking out the thrusters will take the Wasp down quickly, the challenge is to rack up as much damage as possible, which means, in this instance, players should aim for the center of the ARC to earn as many points as possible before destroying it.

More challenges and opportunities to earn in-game rewards will be available next week, but those who are looking to head out on their first Expedition this month should be aware that all of their in-game items will be reset once the Expedition is complete. However, fans are now trying to max out their Stash with as much high-value loot as possible following a recent announcement from Embark Studios.

Over the weekend, the studio revealed further details about ARC Raiders‘ now delayed Expedition. Players who take part in the wipe will receive numerous cosmetic items and twelve extra Stash slots. However, Embark caused controversy by announcing that five extra skill points can be earned per 1 million Stash value. The Expedition window will be open from December 17 to December 22, with all players being reset at the same time.
