A series of hilarious Destiny 2 clips showcase a group of players failing at teamwork from different angles. While attempting to work together in Destiny 2‘s new Onslaught mode, the team’s plan goes horribly wrong.
On April 9, Destiny 2 got an all-new mode with the introduction of Onslaught. The three-person horde mode pits teams of Guardians against oncoming waves of enemies while defending the ADU, adding a fun new challenge to the game. Onslaught can prove to be a petty intense challenge, so it can be frustrating when one makes it far into the match only to be eliminated. However, one particularly unfortunate group of players found themselves failing in a hilariously unexpected way.
This Destiny 2 Hunter Looks Just Like Raven From Teen Titans
A clever Destiny 2 player transforms their Hunter into Raven from the Teen Titans, one of DC Comics’ most beloved characters.
A group of Destiny 2 players failed an Onslaught challenge in a very awkward way that has thankfully been captured from multiple angles. While trying to traverse across a pit, the team attempts to hop along the various platforms, only for each member to eventually fall down to their deaths. After one player just completely misses the first platform and falls into the pit, the second player, Vlonerare, stops in the middle of the platform, which causes a collision with the other remaining player, Crevo57. This causes these two surviving Guardians to subsequently fall down to their demise as well.
Destiny 2 Onslaught Attempt Ends in Disaster
What makes the situation even more unlucky is that the players were about to take on the final 50th enemy wave. Onslaught mode can be harrowing, but players usually fail by being overtaken by enemies or being unable to properly protect the ADU. It’s not as common that all three team members just clumsily fall to their deaths. What’s even funnier is that the situation could have been avoided altogether. If Vlonerare had just kept jumping across the platforms to the other side, then Crevo57 wouldn’t have run into their fellow player and the two Guardians could have continued on to the final wave. The sheer absurdity of the situation is really amusing, but it’s also easy to imagine how frustrating this must have been for the players involved.
There have been some impressive feats achieved in Onslaught, but this is unfortunately not one of them. However, this clip is a great example of how sometimes trying to work as a team can go completely off the rails and there’s almost nothing one can do to stop it. Hopefully, this group of Guardians were able to eventually succeed in their Onslaught attempt after this blunder.
